About this assignment

Someone who loves cats. I mean - really loves cats. I manage a feral cat community and have 5 indoor cats. Someone responsible - early riser is best (but not necessary) because I normally feed the cats early.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed and water five indoor cats and many outdoor cats. Feed the outdoor cats right at the back door in the morning and evening. I do have automatic feeders when needed. Keep feeders and water bowls and fountains filled. Empty litter boxes once or twice a day. Add chlorine to the pool (I have a friend to help with that if needed). Water plants if needed.

What are the good features of the property and location

Historic German town between Austin and San Antonio. Tourist location with live music scene (Redbird Listening room is at the end of the block), Schlitterbahn water park and Gruene historic district. House is conveniently located near downtown New Braunfels. Heated Endless pool for soaking or exercise (it’s like a treadmill for swimming). And a home gym with bike trainer, Pilates reformer and weights.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Need to like cats! If you’re up early, that’s when i normally feed the cats. Be available in the mornings and evenings to feed both groups of cats (or use the auto feeders when necessary).
