About this assignment
We are looking for someone responsible to take care of our apartment and love our dog, Rosie. She is an affectionate, easygoing Labrador who loves to fetch balls and will need to be walked a few times a day.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feeding and walking the dog, watering the plants, receiving any post/parcels. Keep us informed if there are any issues with the house. Enjoy our wonderful apartment in a convenient Brooklyn neighborhood!
What are the good features of the property and location
We live in the Kensington area of Brooklyn, a short walk to the Church Ave subway stop on the F and G train. It is quiet and safe and a great community. Our apartment is the ground floor of a house, with 3 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You need to love dogs. Rosie loves a good belly rub, and generally wants to be close to any humans in the house. She is calm and friendly, but she does bark to alert us of any visitors/postmen!
There is no need to be home 24/7. Rosie will be fine alone in the house for as much as 6 hours at a time, as long as she has been walked and fed.
Can I bring my own pets?
Yes
Restrictions: Rosie is friendly with dogs, but she does not like cats, sorry!

Tree great week in Bromley, London
I spent three weeks at Oliver and Sarah's home. Rosie is an easygoing and cheerful dog. Access to the local transport network (trains and buses) is nearby. There is also a small shopping strip a 15-minute walk away that allows you to find a grocery store.... All in all, they are good, generous people who made me feel at home quickly. We Love Rosie the Friendly Red Fox Labrador
Our time caring for Rosie, Sarah and Oli’s lively and loving Red Fox Labrador, was a delightful and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, Sarah and Oli's home felt warm and welcoming, making it easy to settle in. Rosie’s curiosity and joy for her daily walks turned exploring the varied nearby neighborhoods into a real pleasure. The adjacent park, with its wide open space, was the perfect place for Rosie to run, play fetch, and happily interact with other dogs. Lovely Rosie!
Rosie is an easy and a friendly dog who loves affection. She got along really well with my dog and any other dog we encountered. Sarah and her family seems very relaxed and their home is super beautiful. There's a nice park right next door! I hope to go back to look after Rosie :)
