Active animal lover to take care of my pets

About this assignment

We are looking for a kind, responsible and active caring person to take care of my home and animals and make sure they are happy and healthy. Somebody with some previous experience with animals, with previous house sit experience.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding 4 dogs twice daily and keeping their garden area clean regularly. Our dogs have access day and night to interior and exterior, so do not have to be let in or out, and go outside to the toilet by themselves. Walking the two border collies morning and night. Checking sheep, horses are ok and topping up water. Feeding chickens once a day, they are in a fenced area, so don’t need shutting in at night. Filling cat food container outside, and watering the plants in the garden and polytunnel.

What are the good features of the property and location

Detached house in the countryside with separate attached self contained annexe (which is available for our pet sitters) in a quiet peaceful hamlet in central Brittany. Garden overlooking beautiful countryside of the Montagne Noir. Outside covered pergola area, with barbecue,
Walking trails direct from the property and cycling routes ‘voie vert’ 300m from property.
10km to Carhaix 10 km to Gourin, with supermarkets and facilities.
40 minutes to the beautiful Brittany coastlines north, south and west.
Transport is essential, as the property is very rural. Perfect for people who like peace and quiet and appreciate nature on their doorstep.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This home and pet sit is based on a reciprocal agreement, that our pets and home are taken care of, in return for a comfortable self contained home to stay in during the length of the assignment. No payment is offered and no fees are charged .
