About this assignment
We are looking for someone responsible, laid back and compassionate with animals who would enjoy a home from home in the company of our sweet doggy.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feeding our dog Lexi once in the morning and once in the evening and letting her out in the garden a couple of times a day, with optional walks.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our property is an old semi-detached house with lots of character and charm. We have been renovating room by room slowly and we try and attempt a bold and quirky feel. We live a 5 minute walk into the town centre and a 30 second stroll to the train station, but the house remains quiet and comfortable. The garden backs onto the river Nadder and you may even sight a Kingfisher or swans.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Please note there are a few steps to the property so would not be easy for wheelchair access. There is a parking spot for a small car if you would like to use it. You are also welcome to bring your pets with you.
Can I bring my own pets?
Yes
Restrictions: We welcome other pets but we will need a gentle introduction to our dog.Our dog is not allowed upstairs but we understand some may want to take their dog to the room with them so that is fine with us.

Big, beautiful Lexi lives in a lovely home with her warm, friendly family
Ainara and Pasquale’s family home is a spacious Victorian townhouse with a big rear garden that goes right down to the river. It’s so close to the centre of Salisbury that you can walk there in minutes. I arrived after they had left for the airport but we had WhatsApp video chatted beforehand and they had left me the key and excellent instructions. Lexi is a big, beautiful, gentle, sensitive and loving dog. She greeted me excitedly every morning and enjoyed being close to me. She loved playing with me in the garden, it was hilarious watching her zoom around the garden, running rings around me. Ainara and Pasquale were always contactable and very helpful and friendly. I was happy to sit for them and would love to sit for them again in the future.

Best doggo ever in beautiful Salisbury
This sit was truly special for so many reasons: Lexi is simply the best! She’s the most gentle, loving, well-mannered, and fun dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of caring for. She also picks up the ball (and apples) with ultrasonic speed—catch her if you can! ;) Ainara was a wonderful host—warm, easy-going, communicative, and incredibly kind. I loved her attention to details, like the little 'lunch box' she left me on the day of my arrival ;) The house is absolutely beautiful—tastefully decorated, yet very cozy. I felt completely comfortable and at home throughout my stay. Salisbury is a lovely town, full of charm with its historic architecture, peaceful waterways, and great transport links. I can wholeheartedly recommend this sit to anyone lucky enough to be considered!

Minding Lexi was a very positive experience. She is very affectionate, communicative and lovable. Ainara and Pasquale were very gracious hosts, providing a comfortable place for me as well as tips that made my stay even more enjoyable. I would return in a heartbeat if the chance arose.

Lovely familly, dog & home in Salisbury
I pet/housesat for Ainara & Pasquale for approximately a month and loved every minute. This lovely young couple were very helpful and I was given all the necessary information to quickly settle in. Lexi is one of my all time favourite dogs - she has a lovely affectionate nature, is always enthusiastic for walks and is very obedient and easy to manage and there are perfect walking areas close by. The house is lovely, warm and comfortable and the location is perfect, close to train station, only a ten minute walk into the city of Salisbury with all it's history and has some lovely shops as well as the main supermarkets - Tesco/Sainsbury/M&S. Thank you Ainara and Pasquale I had a very happy time in your lovely home and with Lexi and would be first to recommend this house sit. Jill.
