We are hoping to welcome a home sitters who share a genuine love of animals and the outdoors, and who will feel at home in a rural Sardinian setting.
As our property is located in the countryside, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential — the nearest towns are easily reachable but you will need to be able to get there independently.
Our animals are at the heart of everything here, so we are particularly looking for people with hands-on experience caring for dogs and farm animals. Our pigs, chickens, dogs and cats all have simple daily routines, but they do need confident, attentive care from people who are comfortable around animals of all kinds.
We are looking for sitters who are mature, reliable and responsible — people who will treat our home with the same respect and care that we do, and who we can trust to handle any small challenges that may arise with calm good sense.
A little Italian or Sardinian goes a long way in our local community, so any knowledge of the language — even basic — would be a lovely bonus, though it is not a requirement.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Please introduce yourselves and tell us a little about your experience with animals. We look forward to finding the right match! ?
We have put together a clear outline of what will be needed during your stay, so there are no surprises. We will also provide a full Home Book before you arrive with all the details you need.
Animal Care
All animals are fed once daily and have simple, established routines that we will walk you through before we leave. Specifically:
? Dogs — daily feeding and fresh water, walks and companionship
? Cats — daily feeding and fresh water
? Pigs — daily feeding and a general wellbeing check
? Chickens — daily feeding, collecting eggs each morning, and securing the coop each evening at dusk
Around the House
Keep the home clean and tidy throughout your stay
General tidying and light housekeeping as you would in your own home
What Is NOT Required
There is no involvement needed with the vineyard — it simply forms part of the beautiful surroundings for you to enjoy.
We want our sitters to feel at ease and comfortable. This is your home while we are away, and we want you to enjoy it as much as we do! ?
Our home is a large, characterful country house set in the stunning landscape of northern Sardinia. With 3-4 spacious bedrooms, there is plenty of room to feel completely at home during your stay.
The house opens out onto a generous terrace — the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening meals — with sweeping views across the mountains and the rooftops of nearby traditional Sardinian towns. It is a truly special place to sit and take in the beauty of the island.
Surrounding the house is a large garden, full of life and greenery, with our small vineyard adding to the sense of a working, living landscape. The air is clean, the nights are quiet, and the pace of life here is wonderfully unhurried.
Despite the rural tranquility, the local towns are easily accessible, offering authentic Sardinian restaurants, markets, and everyday amenities. Northern Sardinia is also within reach of some of the island's most breathtaking coastline, including the famous Costa Smeralda.
This is a home that rewards those who love nature, animals, open skies, and the simple pleasure of a beautiful place to call their own — even if just for a while.
What Sitters Should Consider Before Applying ?
We want to make sure this is the right fit for both of us, so please consider the following before getting in touch:
Rural Location
Our home is in the Sardinian countryside. A car and valid driving licence are essential — this is not a city sit and public transport is very limited. You should be comfortable with and enjoy rural living.
Animal Experience
We have a varied mix of animals including dogs, cats, chickens and pigs. Please only apply if you have genuine hands-on experience with both domestic pets and farm animals. Confidence and calm around all animals is a must.
Full Commitment
The animals need daily care without exception, including early mornings to let and feed the chickens and evenings to secure the coop. This is not a sit where the animals can be left for long periods — they are your primary responsibility.
Two People Preferred
We are looking for a couple, as caring for a property and animals of this size is much better suited to two people working together.
Length of Stay
Please consider whether you are comfortable committing to the full duration of the sit before applying.
A Love of the Simple Life
Our home is peaceful, beautiful and unhurried. It suits people who genuinely enjoy nature, animals and tranquility over busy city life. If that's you — we think you'll absolutely love it here! ?
No, sorry.
