Our dog River is a 6 year old griffon nivernaise. He is on the small side of medium. He is friendly to all people (including complete strangers), other dogs and cats. He can be let off the lead in parks with no risk of running away.

About this assignment
We are going to Spain for 7
days, 20 to 27 and looking for someone to house sit for our medium sized dog River. We are 2 minutes from a small
Park and 10 min from a larger park. He is very easy going, calm and friendly with other dogs.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Walk River and keep him company. He is fine to be left for up to 6 hrs. We have a neighbour who can help with walks if needed.
What are the good features of the property and location
Nice maisonette with office for home working. Two bathrooms and small terrace. All streaming channels on tv. 8 minute walk to all of the shops and cafes of Crouch End. River is well behaved in cafes and pubs.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
There are stairs in the flat as it’s upper maisonette.
Public transport is very good in the local area and River is happy on buses and tube.
Property is solely for the use of the house sitter.
Can I bring my own pets?

Sweetest dog in Eymet
I came back to look after River for another 3 weeks late jan/feb and was so lucky with the weather, although it was freezing at night and therefore very cold in the morning, days were abundant in sunshine with no wind and the morning walks in the parc were still pleasant. To take advantage of the sunny and bright afternoons we often went to lake de l'Escourou, only a few kilometers out of Eymet, were we had such a great time. River is an adorable dog, always in a good mood and even when other dogs are unfriendly (that is rare) he simply doesn't react. His owner Andy is caring and attentive, and responds immediately when something is wrong. All together a truly recommendable dog and house sitting experience, and a lovely winter time! Thank you

Everyone loves dog River
It was a great pleasure to look after dog River who is always content, doesn't cry or bark, and is simply wonderful company. Probably he's the sweetest dog I've ever met. He lives in a beautiful house with all comforts, surrounded by a huge garden boardered by high trees, so it feels like being in nature while it's located at the edge of Eymet, an easy walk away from the centre of town or the scenic parc. Here we went in the mornings where River can run and meet other dogs, and as there was a car available, in the afternoons we could go to the fields outside that offer nice views on the charming countryside of south Dordogne. He can be off leash as he's very obedient, responding to a soft call. 5 years old and healthy, only occassionaly has a swallowing issue that owner Andy names wrenching, and to be comfortable again needs to eat grasses that are thrown up in a day or two. But he will let you know when he needs to go out. When I wake up I still see him welcoming me, always so enthousiastic to reunite, and likes to be near. When a dog is happy and free like this, that must be the result of no bad experiences with humans, life is joyful. I thank owners Andy and Carlito for offering such an experience.
