About this assignment
Someone (preferrably a couple, or a women on her own - Querida can sometimes be fearful of men) with a lot of love for cats and plants. A loving person who knows how to take care of cats and has a lot of love and cuddles to give. I'm also looking for someone who is kind, communicative, honest, responsible and clean.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The responsibilities will be taking care of the cats, + medication, the plants and the house. This would include feeding the cats, cleaning their litterboxes and giving them a bunch of cuddles. The plants would love some water too and the charming, small older house would like to be kept clean.
What are the good features of the property and location
The property is in a calme and greenest area in Malta. There is the sea on a 5 minute walk, the forest & a small shop on a 7 minute walk, lots of beaches in the area, a bus stop on a 5 minute walk connecting you the the entire island, a shops and restaurants. The house (maisonette with private entrance) has everything you need, a nice terrace, comfy bed, great water pressure, ac, heater, desk and more!
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
They need to consider that both my cats and house are slightly older, this comes with pros and cons. The cats are calm and relaxed, big cuddlers and will never scratch or bite. One cat suffers from kidney disease, skin issues and a little bit of seperation anxiety (she needs a lot of love). This means both cats have different feeding needs, but we solved it with microchip automatic feeders. Querida needs to get medication daily, so knowing how to handle cats is a must!
The house is nice and quirky, with art, plants, comfy bed, but not the most modern. It has everything you need and everything works great and is comfortable. It's in a peaceful and awesome area.

Super cats on a super island
We had such a wonderful time with Querida and Amante at Kimberly’s home that the warm memories from that sunny island are still keeping our hearts cozy during the cold Warsaw winter. We clicked with the cats right away — they are very low-maintenance, affectionate, and always happy to receive love and attention, which we hope we provided in abundance. The apartment is simple but comfortable, with a lovely terrace, and it had everything we needed for our 10-day stay. The location is good: even without a car we had plenty to discover, exploring a new place every day, either on foot or by bus. Malta is incredibly rich in history, ruins, and natural beauty (just a 7-minute walk and you can see ancient Roman beehives!). Kimberly is a fantastic host — helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything. We’re truly grateful she chose us, and we couldn’t recommend her more. If you’re lucky enough to pet-sit for her, please be gentle and patient with the kitties — we absolutely fell in love with them and believe they deserve the best. And don’t forget about the stray cats as well — Oscar and his friends are also lovingly spoiled by Kimberly :) We hope to see them all again in good health!

Wonderful time in Malta
I spent two wonderful weeks at Kimberly's place, looking after her two cats, which were very easy to care for. Kimberly was friendly and communicative at all times, and her flat was clean, well-maintained and close to public transport. Thank you Kimberly for bringing me to Malta, and I'm so happy with how the house sit turned out!

Kimberly is an easy going, caring and generous host. She was kind enough to let us begin our house-sit a day earlier, which we really appreciated, and contacted us daily to make sure we were comfortable and happy. She gave us thorough information to cover all the pets, the plants, the house needs and ours, together with plenty of information and time to make us enjoy the wonderful isle of Malta. Her home is nice, placed in a perfect position, close to the sea, in a quiet green area, in a secluded street. We appreciated especially the sunshine filled back courtyard. Amante e Querida are super cute,very communicative, with their meows and their expressive nice snout they make you know what they think. They love being cuddled and are very easy to please. We enjoyed greatly the cats company, the quiet time with them at home and all the beautiful sites and amenities Malta has to offer. We came back home with our heart full of wonderful memories. Looking after Querida and Amante in Malta
We had a lovely 2 weeks looking after Kimberley's 2 cats who were both great characters and easy to care for. Kimberley's house had everything we needed and was close to the beach, bus routes and the heritage trail. Kimberley herself was very kind and helpful via WhatsApp and was always at hand to help or answer any queries or give advice. Thanks very much

Nice and clear
Kimberly was very clear about the cats' needs, provided everything to take care of them and the house, and cared that I also felt comfortable in Malta. The cats are lovely and uncomplicated, we got along very well!

Most caring home owners
My stay was a peaceful month in Malta. I fell in love with the cats and location. The cats were both so sweet and friendly. Querida the older cat was particularly cuddly. The house was a clean, tidy and calm environment with house plants. The beach is just 5 mins walk down the road with clear water and there is a walk and forest nearby too. It is a great quiet location. Kimberly and Simon gave me a detailed list with instructions about everything and answered all my questions. Kimberly even checked in on me as well as the cats, she is such a kind person. I would love to stay again!

We felt at home
Kimberly was friendly and gave us detailed instructions for the stay, including lots of local recommendations. Her house is cosy and located near several shops and walking paths. The cats were friendly, quiet and low maintenance. It was a pleasant stay and we hope to be back!
