About this assignment
I'm looking for someone responsible, respectful, and clean. Work from home folks are ideal so that the animals get enough attention. Kitty is pretty much a loner but the pup needs regular attention.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
take care of kitty and puppers and indoor plants and house, take out the trash, let me know things are alright periodically. pick up the mail from the mail box.
What are the good features of the property and location
My property is in the Delridge area of West Seattle. It is surrounded by parkland, woods, and trails. The property is landscaped with lush native plants, and blends in well with it's natural surroundings. One side of the property is bordered by a creek with beavers and ducks and even an otter. Additionally there are owls and hawks, songbirds and hummingbirds, bunnies, and frogs. The property, which has it's own parking, is only a 3-minute walk to the bus stop. The bus goes directly downtown and that trip takes only 15 minutes. The house is very well designed and appointed. Large floor to ceiling windows look out from the living space to the garden and the creek. As a cook my kitchen is very well appointed, with everything you need. There is a lot of natural light. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has its own patio with a cedar hot tub and outdoor seating. The second bedroom doubles as an office. It has a Japanese sleeping mattress and tatami mat.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
It's convenient to have your own transportation for going anywhere other than downtown. I'm looking for someone fairly low impact, so this probably isn't ideal for families with kids, but we can discuss it.

Amazing custom home and kitty
This sitting was very easy as Kitty, although a little hesitant at first, quickly warmed up to a stranger in her domain. She would let you know when she wanted to leave and would wait at one of the two large glass doors to be let back in. She was a light eater but enjoyed both the wet and dry foods. She loved to hang out on the sofa when she wasn’t in one of her hiding places. Sean’s home and kitchen had everything you might need with plenty of trails if you like going for daily walks, like I did. I would love to sit for Sean and Kitty again in a heart beat!

Lovely home and kitty
"Kitty" was very self sufficient, and after letting her in and out the doors, feeding, and hanging out with her every day, she quickly warmed up to a new human in her space. She loved her head scratches and even slept with me after a few days. Sean's lovely home is clean, and compact - perfect for one or two people. It's in lively West Seattle (shops, restaurants, groceries) with walking trails and anything you might want or need a short drive away. I'd definitely stay for Sean and Kitty again.
