Meet Cane, a cute, friendly Bichon Bolognese looking for a new friend!

About this assignment

We want someone who will care for our dog, and make him feel comfortable above all else. We are looking for a long term relationship with a sitter. Someone we can rely on if we have a family emergency or can't travel with Cane. For our first sit, we would prefer someone with one hour of Chinon France who could keep Cane for a week or so in their home in November while we travel for the death of a family member.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The main responsibility is to keep our little boy company and make sure he is happy. He is a very easy going, quiet dog that loves people, and loves to be loved. Currently, he is being fed three meals a day, and in between he alternates between sleeping, playing, and just being in the company of people.

On this first sitting, we are looking for sitters that may be able to take Cane into their home (explained below). Cane is a travel pup, so he takes to new locations and people very quickly. He does not bark, bite, or chew. He is house-trained. He loves to be cuddled and played with, but also knows when to chill. He is crate trained, and stays quiet during the night.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in the northernmost part of the Vienne, about 30 minutes from Chinon and 45 minutes from Saumur. This is a beautiful, quiet area, but still with things to do. (Please note we are seeking local sitters that could take Cane into their home for this first sit. We are having work done to our home while we are gone, and it would not be a good environment for the first visit.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The reason we are posting is because we have a family member in the States that will be passing soon from cancer. When she does, we will be going back for about a week for a celebration of life and to help the family. Please note: We do not know the exact dates yet. It will be a week in November or early December, but we will find out the exact dates probably by October 15th.

We just need someone to have Cane in their home while we are gone. We prefer someone that is within one hour of Chinon.
