Stay at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park!

About this assignment

We are looking for someone responsible who loves dogs and would take care of our dog Phoebe. Someone who is clean and respectful, and would treat our house like their own. We are hoping to get away over the winter break and have tentative dates of 21st December to 3rd January, but have not yet booked flights so are still a bit flexible.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The main responsibility is to look after our dog Phoebe. She would need at minimum one walk a day (she will happily go for more) and feeding in the morning and evening. We also have some houseplants that would need watering. If it snows, some minimal sidewalk shoveling would be needed. Phoebe has access to the garden and can be left for up to 5-6 hours, but not overnight.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our house is cozy, clean and spacious. You will have everything you need to work from home and/or enjoy the area. We have laundry, a dishwasher, sheets and towels, parking, fast internet, an office you can use, and a TV with Netflix. We are in an excellent location, close to some amazing and fun places like Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder, Lyons and Fort Collins. We have passes to local parks. If you like winter activities, hiking, biking, going to breweries and live music then this is a great base to access all of those things. There are shops, restaurants, and plenty of breweries within walking distance or a short car or bike ride away. There are lots of things going on in the area (go to https://www.visitlovelandco.org/ for ideas!). It is very important to us that you are happy and comfortable while you stay.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Sitters should have experience looking after a dog and would need to be able to meet Phoebe before we leave. She should not be left overnight or longer than 5-6 hours. She is pretty low-energy for her breed. She is a sweet dog but is dog reactive, so no dog parks or meeting other dogs. We understand that this is over the Christmas period, so if you have any questions about that please reach out!
