About this assignment
Hey there,
I will be out of town for buisiness and looking for somebody to take care of my beatiful cats and balcony plants.
Thanks to automatic feeders, the timing can be a bit flexible – e.g. arriving later or leaving earlier. It is optional to stay overnight in my flat; you can also just come over to socialise with the cats.
I am a Berlin based artist who travels a lot for business but also likes to see new places in private. I am totally up for sharing my flat in exchange for catsitting for my two beloved Devon Rex cats Marilyn & George. They are already used to have different catsitters and so far got along with everyone. Both are 11 years old and that's for how long we live together as well. Very trusting souls they are.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
- Catcare (feeding twice a day, playing, cuddeling, cleaning the litterbox)
- Send me pictures of my cats =^_^=
Depends how long you are staying:
- Checking my mailbox
- Watering my plants
What are the good features of the property and location
I live in a quite area of Berlin, where you can have walks in fields and forest sections. Supermarkets and Döner are around, a shopping mall is only 10 mins by bus. No Späti area.
My one room flat is faced south and comes with a sunny balcony.
The flat isn't barrier-free. It's on the 2nd floor in a house with only three other apartments. Very chilled atmosphere. You will be on the top of the building, so nobody above you.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
- It would be lovely if you already have experience with cats, but not necessary.
- Please give me a bit of an impression why you'd like to come to Berlin and stay in my flat.

Great stay in Berlin
I had a great time at Nova’s cat castle. The flat is lovely, calm, comfortable, it is very quiet and it has a nice balcony. I felt very much at home. Berlin, what can I say…. It was a pleasure to look after Marilyn an d George. They are both super sweet. Marilyn came on my lap and slept on the bed. George was a bit more reserved but the two kitties love cuddles and attention. They are easy to care for and they get along so well with each other. Nova is wonderful . She is very helpful and gave excellent instructions. The contact with her was very pleasant. I highly recommend this cat sit address. Many thanks, Nova , for the hospitality, for your sense of humour, for everything. It was very considerate of you to tell about the distance to the centre. Two funny cats and a lovely place
We spent two nights caring for George and Marilyn. This two fellows have their own personalities and it was nice to find them out in time. Nova receive us with all the info and was always actively making us feel comfortable (we even get a welcome surprise!

Great stay
We enjoyed our short stay at Nova's apartment. Even though it is a one-bedroom apartment, it was spacious and all three of us had enough place. The whole apartment was clean, Nova set the bed for us and left clear instructions. George & Marilyn are lovely cats, they were a bit shy for the first few days, but warmed up to us by the end of our stay. Even though the location is a bit further from the center, public transport was great and our daughter enjoyed the playground in front of the building. We definitely recommend this house sit.

Lovely person, home and cats.
I stayed at Nova's flat from the middle of March to the beginning of April 2024. It is comfortable and clean, with a balcony (though it was too cold to use). The locality has supermarkets, cafes, and bakeries, and central Berlin is a short bus ride away. Nova is such a lovely person who was easy to communicate with. The kittens were also delightful, having spent quite some time cuddling them. Thank you, Nova.

Cute home, cuter kitties
Nova was a great! They had great communication and clear instructions. The home was so cute and cosy, perfect for a solo sitter or couple, when I arrived everything was clean with fresh sheets and towels. The cats were easy to take care of and they loved a cuddle. There's a bus stop right around the corner that helps take you into Berlin city so the location worked well for me. Wifi speed was good for working remotely. Would sit again :)
