About this assignment
I am looking for a person, couple or family to treat our home and our pets like their own. Our home is very welcoming and our dogs are cuddling lovers, we also have 5 chickens
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Responsibilities would include, keeping house tidy, letting the dogs out and making sure their automatic feeders and water is filled. Our dogs are older but do get anxious, they love to just hang out on the couch and cuddle. We also would need our trash taken out. We have 5 amazing chickens, they will need attention, food and water check and egg collection.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with land. We have a fenced in back yard, fire pit, garden and an a above ground pool: the back of the house has a HUGE deck that is perfect for eating at the table and taking in the sites of our property and our 0.81 acres of wetlands. Our home is about 30mins from the emerald coast beaches, we are located right off of I10.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Our dogs and chickens need someone who is going to pay attention to them, please do not apply if you do not enjoy dogs or chickens. We do not need any loud pet sitters or those that do not clean up.
Can I bring my own pets?

Awesome sit near beaches
This is our second sit for Shawn and Andrew and their pets, Harry and Bruno. Shawn and Andrew’s home is very nice, clean and organized. You would never know three young children and two dogs live there- lol. Harry and Bruno are very well trained and follow a scheduled routine which makes sitting for them a breeze. They are very lovable and love snuggling with you on the couch. They love being rubbed! When you stop rubbing them, Harry will paw at your hand and Bruno will nudge you with his nose in an attempt to have you continue. Since we were only there for a week this time, we did not do much roaming in the area. We mostly did some antique/thrift shopping in Crestview, Destin, Fort Walton and Miramar. We also visited the Historic districts of nearby Milton and Baghdad. The location is great for antique/thrift shopping. Also is great for beachgoing as we learned from our previous sit there. I would definitely recommend sitting for Shawn and Andrew and their dogs Harry and Bruno.

Crestview Florida- 30 minutes from the Emerald Coast
I would surely recommend sitting for Shawn and Andrew and their awesome fur babies/ Bruno and Harry. Harry and Bruno are very well trained and on schedule with everything from feedings to bedtime. They know exactly when their automatic feeders are going to dispense their food. They are both lovable dogs that absolutely love to have your attention. However, they are perfectly ok just laying around while you do whatever you need to do. It took only a few hours for them to warm up to us. Harry was sleeping under the covers with us on the second night and is the most loving little dog. Bruno is a little more reserved, however will frequently decide to snuggle up to you on the couch thinking he is a lap dog. Harry and Bruno also love to play together. Harry is a little dog and Bruno a big dog, but they compliment each other perfectly. After spending a couple of weeks with these two, it was hard to just leave them. Shawn and Andrew have a beautiful home that is very comfortable. We also had access to their above ground pool which was nice in the summer heat. We found many nice places to visit including the Air Force Armament Museum, several beaches/restaurants/wineries and breweries on the Emerald Coast and also saw the Blue Angels in Pensacola Beach. However, I can say after excursions during the day, we were always looking forward to going back to the house and seeing Bruno and Harry and just relaxing with them. Shawn provided a binder with any information you could possibly need regarding the house, pets, emergency information, etc, This was an awesome sitting experience for us.
