About this assignment
Friendly and reliable person who loves spending time with a dog.
Someone who is respectful of our house and will enjoy taking care of our home and dog.
We are looking for someone for around 3 weeks from around June 20th - dates are not set in stone yet.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Looking after our very friendly three and a half year old Australian labradoodle, watering the plants in the house and garden.
Charlie needs one long walk (around an hour) a day, and a couple of smaller walks and will need brushing (grooming) regularly.
What are the good features of the property and location
We live in a wonderful (quiet) location, on the edge of the Amsterdamsebos (forest). There is a great selection of restaurants and cafes within 5 minutes walking distance. Public transport is varied (bus, tram, metro) and we are not too far from the airport.
We have a bike which you are welcome to use, we are within cycling distance to Amsterdam.
We have a home office, with good internet.
Our house is in Amstelveen, so much quieter and less busy than Amsterdam.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Charlie is a friendly and playful three year old Australian labradoodle who loves being around people.
We would like him to be brushed regularly, taken for walks and played with. He loves being around people so would not want to be left on his own for long periods of time.
Can I bring my own pets?

A House/Pet Sit to enjoy!
We were fortunate to have the opportunity to house/pet sit for Victoria and Nick while they were on holiday. We really enjoyed spending time together prior to their departure; they were kind enough to prepare a nice dinner for all of us after picking us up from the bus station. Charlie, their labradoodle has a great personality and loved playing with his toys, walking through town or in the park, and simply cuddling nearby on the sofa. Their beautifully appointed home is organized and comfortable and in a great location for jumping on the bus for a quick ride into Amsterdam for sightseeing. Stay in Amstelveen
We really enjoyed our stay in Amstelveen, a quiet town with nice lake to walk around & woods to cycle or walk in. Good transport into Amsterdam & lots of other interesting places to visit. Nick & Victoria were very welcoming & gave us lots of useful information. Charlie missed his owners greatly at the beginning & could be stubborn during his walks but he has a sweet nature, is funny & affectionate & enjoyed playing tug of war

Playful Charlie in beautiful south Amsterdam
We had a wonderful time sitting for Victoria, Nick, Olivia and Oscar and their handsome, playful labradoodle, Charlie. Victoria and her family could not have been more welcoming and clear about Charlie’s needs, and how everything around the house worked. The house is pristine, incredibly comfy and cosy, and sits in a beautiful part of south Amsterdam, with extensive and easily accessed walks on the doorstep, and great restaurants and bars. It truly was a joy taking care of Charlie – he’s obedient, affectionate and friendly – and we, of course, fell in love with him. Many thanks, Victoria and Nick.

Wonderful
I absolutely loved sitting for Victoria, Nick and sweet Charlie. Their home is perfect, and the location is excellent. It was lovely meeting Olivia and Oscar. Charlie is adorable and very easy to fall for. He is very obedient, and easy to walk. There are some amazing shops and restaurants very close by. I truly enjoyed my time in Amsterdam.
