Rufus is 12, Flora will be 10, Dash will be 15 months, all gentle and in good health. Rufus must be kept on a lead when outside the garden at all times, except in my friend's field.

About this assignment
I would like someone to take care of the dogs (1 elderly setter, one 10yo cocker and one 15m old cocker)- walk in the morning (not too long, up 30-40minutes), and again after their tea for about 15-20 minutes (this in a friend's field in the village). It would be great if garden plant pots could be watered if needed.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Responsibilities are dog care - not to be left for longer than 4-5 hours in the day or evening - so there's time for local sightseeing.
What are the good features of the property and location
The village has an excellent local pub 200 yards away, and the back gate goes immediately into a churchyard beyond which are walks across the fields. The village is adjacent to J6 of the M40 and is 20 minutes from Oxford. The local town (3 miles) of Watlington is pretty, has most amenities, and good parking. There is good internet, and the house has several televisions plus music player and radio.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Some experience of dogs, and enjoying living in a quietish area, but within easy reach of interesting/attractive towns of Henley and Marlow as well as Oxford. A car is essential.

Charming Location with lovely dogs
We had the pleasure of house-sitting for Sarah for 2 weeks at the end of September while she went on holiday. Sarah was a lovely owner who cares deeply about her dogs and gave very good instructions as to their care and feeding and also provided lots of other useful information regarding the local area and the property itself. The dogs were very easy to look after and fairly well behaved (you just need to vigilant where food is concerned as Flora is the canine equivalent of the Artful Dodger!) The house is itself is charming and has all the necessary modern appliances, including Wifi, Netflix, dishwasher etc. The location is good for walking, shopping and sightseeing and despite the proximity of the motorway there is plenty of green open spaces and wildlife to enjoy. I would recommend this house-sit to anyone who likes a semi-rural location within easy reach of amenities.
