We are seeking a pet-loving, tidy person! Someone to look after the girls and walk the dogs daily. Brushing them regularly is also helpful as they shed fur. We have lovely neighbours so a sitter mustn’t be shy about asking for help or information.
Keeping the dogs and cat happy, fed & watered, and exercised. Keeping the house clean and tidy, but we are not desperately house-proud! We prefer that garlic is not brought into the house especially in the fridge.
We moved into this house when it was built, in May 2022. The neighbours are lovely - very friendly and helpful. Our garden backs onto woods, which is perfect for walking the dogs, and it is very quiet here. The town centre has supermarkets etc but there are also two mini markets within walking distance.
The 14 year old dog Dobbie is going blind, the 8 year old dog Meggie is excitable. Our sitter needs patience! Both were rescue dogs. I can walk them together but my husband walks them separately. Dobbie only needs short walks anyway and stays on the lead as she tends to disappear. Meggie can go off lead but she’s excitable around other dogs. The cat, Sybil, is also a rescue but very affectionate and likes play fighting with the younger dog. It’s really funny! Ideally a sitter would come 24 hours early to meet the girls and help walk the dogs etc. the cat goes out regular, no need to worry about a litter tray!
No, sorry.

Wonderful Housesit
It was lovely to housesit for Yvonne and Trevor. They are wonderful people! The animals were very sweet and the house was very tidy. I would definitely return! I had a meal available when I arrived and also prepared one for them when they returned. I can't say enough about them, their caring community and the beautiful dogs (Meg and Dalby) and the cat, Lady Sybil.
