About this assignment
We are seeking a pet-loving, tidy person! Someone to look after the cat aged 8, and dog aged 10. We have lovely neighbours so a sitter mustn’t be shy about asking for help or information.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Keeping the dog and cat happy, fed & watered, and exercised. Giving them love and affection. Keeping the house clean and tidy, though we are not desperately house-proud! We prefer that garlic is not brought into the house especially in the fridge.
What are the good features of the property and location
We moved into this house when it was built, in May 2022. The neighbours are lovely - very friendly and helpful. Our garden backs onto woods, which is perfect for dog-walking, and it is very quiet here. Because we are on a cul-de-sac there’s no passing traffic. The town centre has supermarkets, a butcher etc but there are also two mini markets within walking distance.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Meggie is a rescue aged 10 and loves her walks but doesn’t need long hikes. The cat, Lady Sybil, is also a rescue but very affectionate. Ideally a sitter would come 24 hours early to meet the girls and help walk the dog etc. The cat goes out regularly, but comes in every evening.

Lovely people, beautifull animals and great place
I loved staying with them and their lovely pets. Communication was wonderful and the couple is super friendly. The whole neighborhood is a great community that is there to answer questions and help out if needed. The house is very nice, the area is safe, and the pets are just adorable. Their cat turned me into a catlady for sure :) Would sit for them again. Can totally recommend!

Wonderful Housesit
It was lovely to housesit for Yvonne and Trevor. They are wonderful people! The animals were very sweet and the house was very tidy. I would definitely return! I had a meal available when I arrived and also prepared one for them when they returned. I can't say enough about them, their caring community and the beautiful dogs (Meg and Dalby) and the cat, Lady Sybil.
