Dog and house sitting in Tahiti (Toahotu) French Polynesia

About this assignment

I am looking for a PET SITTER for my dogs. We live in Tahiti Taravao in the South Pacific ocean (8 hours flight from Los Angeles and 6 hours from Hawaii). Date: from the 1 st of december 2025 until the 02 th of january 2025.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

the PET sitter will take care of 4 dogs: from 5 years old to 8 years old:

1) Provide water / food / medicine
2) check them sometimes when they are the garden (they can make noise all the time to respect the neighbourgh
3) send news (videos/photos)
4) clean the floor of the house (swipe because of dog hairs) and open the windows to get fresh air

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is 85 m2 (914 square feet) with a garden of 1000m2 (0,247 acres) in the city of Taravao ( Tahiti, French Polynesia).

You get a secure place with Internet for free.

(the rent all included is 1310 dollars/month).
you can surf or paddling at Teahuppo if you are good enough!

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Enjoying the nature, the dogs, the island, the weather, people, food...

the island is 8 hours flight from Los Angeles and most people speak French even the dogs.

You need to rent a car as long as you stay in Tahiti because it is not so easy to move with bus. I can help you to find a car with a good price.
