About this assignment

Primarily to look after Parsnip, my 1 small, v friendly 12 year old Birman-cross cat, and to keep the 2 bed house reasonably clean whilst I am away on holiday.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

To feed Parsnip, give her plenty of cuddles, and contact the vets should she become unwell (she has no health issues). It would be great if you could water the plants. Otherwise just keep the place reasonably clean and enjoy your time in gorgeous Weymouth. Parsnip is used to me being out at work during the day so I would not expect you to stay in.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is a Victorian Semi-detached house in Lodmoor area of Weymouth. 2 bedrooms (3rd bedroom used as office) Small, easy care garden, south facing with large patio. Great for getting a tan.
The house is just a 10 min stroll to Weymouths lovely sandy beach, an array of shops and cafes. A little further-but very walakable-is our beautiful harbour . Lots of nice places to wine and dine and great area for walks. Lodmoor country park is just a short walk away-here you can find the sealife centre, sand world, and -if you like to run-it's where you can do the fun run on a Sat a.m. The property is a short walk from the train station (via the local park)
Weymouth is a traditional English seaside resort with a beautiful esplanade of Georgian houses. The beach is very safe for swimmers The local theatre is worth a visit and gets most of the major comedy acts.
When you arrive you will find the fridge well stocked and there will be some wines and homemade treats for you to enjoy (I used to be a chef so the food will be edible!)

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Parsnip is a well behaved little cat who uses the cat flap and goes outside to do her business rather than use a litter tray. There are a few large toms that come into the garden and, if you see them please shoo them away as they frighten her. She has been neutered so there is no risk of her being mated by them. She can be fussy re her food so I keep a large stock of food for you to use.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
