Hi, I am looking for a mature, easy going house sitter to care for my home and cat this summer from June 30 - Aug 22 2024.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Looking for someone to love and care for my older cat and home.
Our cat loves to be petted and brushed, and fed! She goes in and outdoors through her own cat door so there is no litter box.
The home is older and a bit quirky but it is private, safe, cozy and comfortable. Please care for my home as it it were your own. Please stay in communication regarding home and cat.

What are the good features of the property and location

My home is in a wooded, fairly quiet and private area, yet it is close (1 mile) to the town/shops/restaurants in Suffern NY. There is also a train station there and a cool old movie theater.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

My house is old and semi quirky. We are on an old septic system so care must be taken with that. My cat has her own window so there is no litter box to deal with. Home is on a steep hill so if you plan on walking that would need to be considered. There will not be a car here as I will be taking my car away when I go. There is wildlife in the area so special care needs to be taken with trash removal etc.
