About this assignment

Looking for a passionate, super experienced dog sitter (one person or a couple) to come to Kastav (Rijeka) Croatia for the Christmas holidays to hang out with, and take good care of, sweet Noodle.

I would like real references that I can check and someone who is responsible, mature, a non smoker and happy to just chill and stay home for the most part over the holidays.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Noodle is 9 years old and super chilled, but with a profound passion for cats (and not to snuggle with them!), so she needs someone who can handle big dogs when out walking.

She has separation anxiety (since her (dog) mama died) so she cannot be left alone at all, so this sit is for folks who have no interest in sightseeing (during the sit anyway) or going out other than places that Noodle can come too and who are happy to do some simple walks and to curl up in our house with her over the Christmas holidays.

She needs at least two walks a day - she cant go on really really long walks or do heavy hiking - walks are usually around 45 minutes to 1 hour each. She mostly enjoys looking for cats and is obsessed by watching them (and wanting to chase them).

What are the good features of the property and location

Our house is a good size, filled with light, clean and very comfortable (and warm) in a lovely residential area on the outskirts of Rijeka, 15 minutes walk to the forest through a medieval village - Kastav, 10 minutes drive to the sea and an array of gorgeous seaside villages and right next door with easy access to Istria, and 15 minutes to the centre of Rijeka. Christmas will be very festive in this whole region.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You would need your own car preferably, although you could manage without one, but not ideal.

Noodle cannot be left alone at all, so if you are a couple, one would need to stay with her at home while the other does the errands (food shopping etc), but if you are solo, then you would need to bring her with you wherever you go. Luckily Croatia is pretty dog friendly and chilled about them in general. So this sit is for folks who just want to exhale and curl up at home for the holidays in a sweet neighborhood.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
