About this assignment
We are going away to a wedding abroad and Mambo and Äffchen need some company and playmates and feeders and poop picker uppers while we are gone.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Mambo and Äffchen are very shy and well behaved and need feeding once in the morning and once in the evening.
They don’t go outside but they stay in our apartment and so the clumps from their litter tray need to be removed every 2nd day and flushed down the toilet. (Not too much at once though, flush in between)
What are the good features of the property and location
Our home is spacious and well decorated, a very pleasant space on the 1st floor (European).
We have one bedroom with a double bed, one cubby with a pull-out single bed, one bathroom with a washing machine, toilet, sink and shower, a very well-equipped kitchen and a living-diving room with a small balcony.
We have a projector that you can connect your laptop to to watch things!
We live in Neukölln, specifially in a small sanctuary of Berlin called Rixdorf which is like a little village with cute gardens, cafes, and bars away from the loud main road. Neukölln is starting to become gentrified and has a lot of Turkish and Arabic food to discover.
We live a 2 minute walk to a station to get to anywhere else in Berlin, it's very convenient.
Around the corner from us is our community garden where we have a small allotment, if there are any vegetables when you come, feel free to pick them.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
In Germany, all recycling must be separated and put into the right bins in the yard.
We have bikes for you to borrow during your stay!
Otherwise the public transport is also very efficient.
Can I bring my own pets?
No, sorry.

Great catsit in Berlin
It was a pleasure to look after Äffchen and Mambo. Both cats are very sweet. Mambo was a bit shy at first but after a couple of days she was used to me. Äffchen was used to me sooner. Both came on the bed from time to time. They are easy to care for. They are great companions. Lidia 's and Jacob' s appartement is lovely, spacious, bright, confortable and close to the underground station and bus stop. I loved to be there. The area is interesting. Berlin is great for sightseeing and exploring. Unfortunately the time I stayed was too short so I love to come back. Lidia and Jacob are very sympathetic. They made me feel at home immediately. They were very helpful and gave good instructions and information.The communication with the was pleasant. I highly recommend this address.

Fun & easy cat sit! Perfect! :)
Such sweet cats, wellbehaved, quiet and easy to mind them! They love to play, and Aeffchen loves to cuddle, lovely morning cuddles in bed, but also doesn't protest when you close the bedroom door at night. I really enjoyed the morning light in Lidias & Jakobs lovely apartment & their little balcony, the cats are really good and never tried to take off, it was very easy and you can air the apartment, which also is in a great location, super central, yet quiet & several parks & Tempelhofer Feld in walking distance! Communication with Lidia & Jakob was so easy, they are very kind people, have lovely neighbours in the house, who also gave me the keys upon arrival. Really hope next time I meet Lidia & Jakob in person. Highly recommend looking after Aeffchen & Mambo!
