About this assignment

We need a responsible person or couple to stay here November 15-25 We have a great doggie, Gibson, who loves to play, and a Hemingway (polydactyl) kitten. We live 12 miles outside of Steamboat Springs, CO. 3 floors, 4 BD, 2 bath. Back country skiing out the door.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

House sitter will need to provide care and attention for Gibson the wonder dog and Tom the kitten. Ski mountain opens November 22. Gibby needs to be exercised twice a day, but he loves to back country ski. Tom will ignore you.

What are the good features of the property and location

This is a wonderful log home, very cozy, 12 miles from Steamboat, south west of Rabbit Ears Pass, 2 miles from Lake Catamount and Service Creek, 15 miles to Flattops. If you like camping, fishing, hiking, boating etc. this is a dream come true. Ski area opens November 21.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

References please. The distance from town is 12 miles. Well water is excellent, wood stove lovely, have to like the country. Lots of room to walk, hike and enjoy the fall in NW Colorado.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.

A wonderful Colorado fall experience

We loved staying at Mary Kay, Joe and Gibby's log cabin for 4 weeks. They welcomed us early, showed us around Steamboat and the outdoor areas along the Yampa River, and oriented us to the garden, fireplace and local restaurants. It was a smooth transition on each end and Gibby is the most friendly, loving dog to be with. He loves to play, behaves well and likes to cuddle on the couch or bed. We had excellent and timely communication before and throughout their trip. I highly recommend Mary Kay and this experience. We look forward to potential future sits with them.
