A nature-loving person who enjoys walks along a river and watering a garden.

APPLIES IN THE SUMMER: As there are two gardens, someone may need to water plants with watering cans if the weather gets extremely hot and if there is no rain.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Walking Maeva minimum three times a day. There is a lovely car-free trail along the river that is a 5 minute walk away which we visit daily. You can also meander through the quiet and hilly streets of our town which are completely safe and offer nice views of Paris.

APPLIES IN THE SUMMER: Watering a very large garden every few days (watering cans), watering a small garden with pots every other day (hose).

What are the good features of the property and location

Between Paris and our apartment in Saint Cloud is a big forest (google Bois de Boulogne), great for bike riding and walking. You can easily be in the middle of Paris within 35 minutes with transport, Eiffel Tower is even closer and Versailles is about 30 minutes away too.

Our apartment is spacious (110 m2) and we have room for 4 to sleep comfortably (couple and two kids) as we have a king size bed and two mezzanine beds.

There is another room which is great for games and/or working as it is on the other side of the apartment. We have tons of games, books (in English and French), bikes for all ages and playgrounds across the street. There are two bathrooms (two toilet rooms and two shower/bathtub rooms = totaling 4).

Additionally, we have a private garden which is nice for lounging in with a good book or having a family meal. There is a table, chairs and umbrella available for eating outdoors.

Our little neighborhood is absolutely lovely, quiet and very safe.

There are community gardens, playgrounds and great views of Paris. We are also two blocks from a tramway (tram2) station Les Couteaux: which can bring you direct to La Defense, Parc de Saint Cloud and other places. Basically, the location is full of transport options. We can help you get your metro cards and figure out all the transport and any other questions you may have to ensure a comfortable stay.

Maeva is a sweet, loving dog who rarely barks and never jumps up on people.

We have all the movie channels, Prime, Amazon, Disney+, etc and very nice neighbors, most of them speak English very well. I have tons of books of things to do with families in Paris and a very well equipt kitchen, washer, dryer, etc.

We live two blocks from a grocery market and bakery, there is a barber, great (really) restaurants and a beautiful neighborhood with gardens. For the budget minded, you can hop on the tram three stops and go to Lidl for great grocery prices.

We have bikes for all ages and scooters too. Basically everything you could ever need!

*Since the pics were taken, we have replaced the bedroom carpets with wooden floors, so there are less allergens.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

As we are vegetarians/pescatarians, as a courtesy, we would ask that you do not cook meat in the kitchen. (Cold meat, take out, etc is fine)

We do ask that you come one day before we leave and stay one day after we return, especially if you are coming from far. This allows for enough time for Maeva to get comfortable, show you the walking routes, explain how things work, and generally get to know you a bit before we entrust our home to you. We ask that you stay at least until we get home in the evening or even better until the next day. Sleeping arrangements can be made for the first and last night that will suit everyone.

We can chat about this during our first video call as there might be some exception made for shorter stays.

APPLIES IN THE SUMMER:.We do need someone who can carry watering cans to plants, once a week unless it is exceptionally dry. This can take up to 30 minutes in the morning. It will require a bit of upper body strength. There are five steps to the apartment (we are on the ground floor)- but sadly not wheel chair friendly.
