I leave Madrid for a weekend (June 13th to 15th) and I need somebody to take care of my cat and houseplants. What I expect from you is to keep him company: play with him, clean his litter box, refill his water and food plates, brush him, give him lots of love... Voldermort is a diabetic cat, but not insulin dependent, meaning that is maneageable with its own specific diet without the need of injecting him with insulin.
I would need a respectful person and cat lover. She/he must keep the house tidy and clean and water the plants, and ensure an easy communication on a daily basis while I'm gone.
In exchange you'd have the house for you in the city center of Madrid with plenty of options to enjoy the city.
This is for solo traveler only. You'll need to have references from previous housesitting experiences here or in other websites.
You'd have to coordinate your arrival on Friday before I leave (around 2pm) as I would like to meet you in person to handle the keys etc.

From my house, you'll have an easy access to all of what this city can offer: museums, parks, sightseeing, theatres, etc . Located in the city center and with easy access to all public transport
Being a responsible person and cat lover. Enssure proper communication while I'm gone and maintain cleanliness around the house. Must accommodate the travel dates.

A wonderful time in Madrid!
What a wonderful time I had in Madrid! Julia has such a lovely and beautifully decorated apartment with a nice patio in a great location. I had the company of her sweet cat Voldemort to chat with in the evenings about my adventures in Madrid and the best little coffee spot with the nicest staff I have ever met just in front of the house, that made me feel right at home. Everything is within walking distance, I saw all the highlights without using the metro once, but there’s a metro station just down the street if you wish. You have everything you could need just around the corner, including a large Carrefour. After wandering all over Madrid it was clear to me that Lavapiès is my favorite district. It’s so colorful, uphill, with lots of little café’s, vintage shops, bookshops and it’s very photogenic. Julia is a lovely young lady. She’s easy to communicate with and very welcoming. I will miss Voldemort, he’s so funny and talkative. But I’ll be back :) I’m so happy Julia chose me as her cat sitter and I can absolutely recommend her.

Madrid centre, caring for a cat.
Julia's apartment was very central, 10 minutes walk from the main square of Piazza Mayo, 5 minutes from a Metro stop, and a Carrefour supermarket open 24/7. The compact, modern, beautifully decorated unheated apartment was easy to care for. Voldemort her beautifully photogenic indoor cat was initially very shy, and took quite a few days to eventually become friendly, coming to sit on top of me in the evenings and coming close for an under-chin rub. A very positive experience, Madrid is certainly a beautiful city to visit and Julia was quick to reply to any questions I had. I would certainly be happy to sit for her again in the future !
