Cat sitter needed in a beach town in the Monterey Bay, CA mid June to end of July

About this assignment

Someone trustworthy, responsible, clean, quiet. Someone I can count on to be in communication with me while I'm away, not often but if needed, and occasional check-ins. I need someone to care for my cat as well as water my plants and garden. Gardening skills are a plus, but you really will only have to water. Feel free to eat any of the veggies and fruits in the garden!! I have a small plot as well as a lot of edible plants and flowers on my balcony.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Not much - feed the cat twice a day. If you want to go away for a night or on all day excursions that's fine, you can load her up on dry food and water, but when you're here she is fed wet food morning and night and dry food is kept out at all times. Water plants daily to every other day.

What are the good features of the property and location

It's a 2 BR apartment (only one will be available, with a twin bed) a 12-minute walk to the beach. Often you will be the only one on the beach. There are other more populous beaches all up and down the coast, the closest is minutes away. Walking distance to shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. Very comfortable and sunny. I operate a home daycare (just for a couple of kids) so the home is organized for kids, however, I am looking for just one person, no kids, due to my rental agreement.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We don't have a TV. We do have high speed internet. I have an excellent quality 7 stage water filter. You will most likely want to have a car, though there are buses and of course Uber etc. But there are so many beautiful areas to explore!! Hiking trails within 10 minutes drive. 2.5 hrs to San Francisco, 1 hour to San Jose, 45 mins to Big Sur. 45 mins to Santa Cruz.
