Mind our beautiful house and lovely border collie in Amsterdam

A trusted and reliable person or couple who loves taking care of our border collie. People who take good care of our house and dog and treats them with respect.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding, and walking our border collie 4 times per day. Our routine is a short morning and evening walk, a longer (30 Mins) walk during lunch-time and a 15-20 mins walk before dinner time. Please treat our house as you would treat your own, no special request, but just keep it clean.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live on the edge of Amsterdam near a beautiful park, on an island surrounded by water, where you can easily walk the dog, but also enjoy water sports. At the end of our street there is a tram taking you in the city centre within 15 mins, where you can enjoy the bustle of Amsterdam with all its canals, museums and great architecture.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We are away for 3 weeks and our dog is quite flexible, but does like people around him. Like many border collies he is not a dog that likes to cuddle, but he will come to you to sit or lie with your the couch (he is allowed to do that). Although he is ok with children, he does sometimes try to avoid them, mainly if they are full of energy or want to pet him all the time. Times to take him out are not super strict, but you cannot leave him alone for a long time (>6 hours), you can take him anywhere, he is ok riding the tram and car.
