About this assignment

We are looking for a reliable, respectful, and caring house sitter who genuinely loves cats. Ideally, you're someone who enjoys a peaceful environment, is tidy and responsible, and will treat our home as if it were your own. Most importantly, you should be experienced and comfortable with caring for cats, as our furry companions are a central part of this arrangement. Regular feeding, playtime, and some cuddles are key! :)

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Your main responsibilities will be caring for our two indoor cats Jack & Sina and watering the terrace plants daily. The cats need feeding, fresh water, a clean litter box, and daily playtime and affection—they’re veeery friendly, cuddly and enjoy human company. The terrace plants will need to be watered once a day, especially in warm weather. Otherwise, just keep the home clean, secure, and enjoy your holiday right next to the lake of Biel! :)

We're just steps from beautiful Lake Biel, and only a 5-minute walk from the train station and the city center, where you'll find supermarkets, shops, cafés, and restaurants. Vineyards and forests are also within walking distance, offering plenty of options for nature lovers. We have stand-up paddleboards and bicycles available for you to use during your stay.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We’ll be away for about 3.5 weeks, and during that time, we’re trusting someone to care for both our home and our beloved cats. They are part of the family and need daily attention, affection, and a calm presence around them. We take good care of our home and belongings and kindly ask that you do the same. This assignment is best suited for someone who is responsible, tidy, and genuinely enjoys the company of cats. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
