A trustful person(s) who will ensure the house is not left empty at night and not hesitate to call for help as needed. There are no problems ever, only solutions :)
A sitter who enjoys pets and gardening is even better!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Stay at the property for the time of the stay, mind the dog, the cat and check on the horses once per day. The horses are autonomous with grass and water, this is mainly to check they are not sick (in which case they would be laying down and not eating).
Water parts of the garden on a regular basis.
What are the good features of the property and location
Place is quite unique, in the middle of a large forest with the nearest neighbors about 5km away, perfect for anyone seeking for a retreat for instance. House is located halfway between the Burgundian and Champagne wineyard, about 35 min drive from Dijon.
We are now renovating our farm, still ongoing project. One of the houses (about 120 m2) is however finished and nice, garden is still being worked on, ambitious projects!
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Sweet stay in beautiful scenery
I spent two weeks at Raouls place with a good friend and we loved it! We took care of the sweet dog (a really good girl), the horse and the two cats. Our daily tasks took around an hour I guess plus our walks with the dog. We especially loved the beautiful house and the calm environment. The place is located in between a forest, some fields and open meadows. You should like a slow lifestyle, but we took that opportunity to puzzle, read a lot and spend time in nature. And one big highlight is the great sky at night, since we were able to see millions of stars without the light pollution of any big city. We recommend this housesit!

Beautiful place to enjoy nature and wildlife
Hey there! We are two german girls, that spent two wonderful weeks at Raouls place. The lovely dog made us laugh everyday and was super sweet to handle. Thanks to her, we also got out on daily walks through the forests and fields, which start right behind the house! The horse and the two cats were also very easy to take care of, since they are quite autonomous and super friendly. The huge garden around the house offered us some fresh tomatoes and fruit every day, which enriched our menu a lot! We also felt very supported by our host throughout our entire stay, as Raoul answered any questions very quickly and helped us even organise a ride to our bus stop for departure (and was so nice to pick us up on our arrival day as well:)). The house is located far from traffic and noise in the middle of nature. We were also lucky enough to whatch some wildlife around the house and to observe lots of stars without any light pollution. Thank you, for that great stay!
