Beautiful former B&B in central France. Rural location with stunning walks and 3 beaches at the huge pleasure lake 10 mins away. Two energetic dogs and a shy cat.

About this assignment

Hi Ideally we need a couple as we have 2 dogs. Maisie is an 13 year old Border Collie and Boo is a 3 year old Border Collie cross and so very energetic and needs 2 walks a day. We also have beautiful tabby cat called Rievaulx who will need feeding and watering. He is very shy but adorable. Our actual holiday dates are fairly flexible. 2 to 3 weeks between early September and the end of September 2025 but we would be happy for you to stay here longer. As a former B&B we are ideally equipped for guests.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The only responsibilities we would like would be to care for our lovely pets which must include plenty of exercise. We would like you to keep the house safe and clean and tidy.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is a large stone barn conversion in a rural village that we previously ran as a B&B so is already guest friendly and comfortable. It is in Central France and is 4km from the local town so a car will be necessary. There is huge pleasure lake 10 minutes away with 3 beaches and is lovely to explore. There are numerous walks around the house too.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You will need a vehicle. The dogs are largish dogs so you will need to exercise them and play with them and so you will need to be fit. Experience with dogs will be needed.
