About this assignment
**ARRIVE 25 MAY 2025 - DEPART 09 JUN 2025**
I need you to be a dog lover, trustworthy, responsible, respectful of my home and property, have integrity, and communicate with me. Someone who will show my dog attention, and love on her. My perfect sitter would either be a bit of a homebody, or someone who enjoys exploring the area/beach during the daytime, but enjoys being home to just relax most evenings and provide company for my girl. She is 16, so I'm just trying to keep her routines somewhat normal.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feed, water, and show love to my 16 yr old sweet girl. Also to simply clean up after yourself and show respect to my home and property. Bella Roux is a "pound puppy," so I don't know what breed she is. She is about 60 lbs., is very sweet and very low maintenance. At her age and bad hips, her exercise is down to a simple and slow walk just before her dinner mostly. She is a pretty big shedder, and also does this sort of coughing/reverse sneezing thing from time to time. She also does a sneezing thing and, sorry to be disgusting, but snot will come out. I've had many vet visits and tried many treatments, to no avail. Anyway, it's not constant, but something to be aware of. She has pretty much lost her hearing, so if she's sleeping, I try to let her know I'm coming to pet her or whatever just so I don't startle her. She's not at all aggressive, I just don't like scaring her. Mostly she just lays around these days. Despite my describing her as laying around all the time, she does enjoy just hanging out outside with me, and she definitely still has some spunk in her. My requirement is that she is not left alone for more than 5 or 6 hours at a time, and preferably not every single day. I prefer to have someone home in the evenings simply to spend time with her. This doesn't mean you can't enjoy your evenings away from the house, but something I can perhaps expand on with potential sitters.
What are the good features of the property and location
I am 2 miles from the beach straight out of the neighborhood. Just in front of the neighborhood is a grocery store, coffee, places to eat, and many other things nearby. Just out of the neighborhood and across the highway is a brand new winery that features live music in the evenings. I live in an amazing neighborhood where we watch out for one another. In fact, some neighbors may stop by if they see you outside just to say hello and love on Bella Roux. I am on a cul-de-sac with a great view. The view is of a retention pond, but it has more of a small lake feel. No recreation on it, but you can walk around it for sure. My home is 3 bed, 2 bath, and is just 4.5 years old. You would be staying in my spare room that features a queen bed and a 65" TV. The living room TV is an 85" and the lanai TV is a 65". All are equipped with YouTube TV, along with streaming apps. The lanai is screened in with retractable screens, and there is a small BBQ grill.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
This listing DOES NOT come with transportation, nor are there any buses. It is highly recommended for you to have your own vehicle, and you would be able to park in the garage. I do have electric options that you would be welcome to utilize in the form of 2 Segway scooters and an Aventon Aventure 2 bike. One scooter and the E-Bike are equipped with blinkers, brake lights, and "head lights." The other scooter is equipped with a headlight/brake light. Another option would be to rent a golf cart. I am in a golf cart friendly neighborhood, and you can get many places, to include the beach, and go pretty far on the local streets. The neighborhood is great for walking or running if you're keen to that. With regard to the security cameras, there are no cameras inside the house. I have a doorbell camera, one attached to the front of the garage, and one at the back of the house facing the pond.

She also arranged for neighbors to keep an eye out. Their home is lovely, clean, and comfortable, as well as convenient to the local grocery store and area attractions. Bella Rue is truly a sweet pup. So well trained, considerate, and an awesome wing-canine when it comes to spotting the rare insect intruder. Toni offers a beautiful home and makes sure the sitter has everything needed for comfort and successful sitting experience. It was an honor and a pleasure. 😊

Little Piece of Paradise
Everything that the testimonial above states. Plus, that Toni is a fabulous person and home owner. She’s very kind, accommodating, and cool. I enjoyed the location and the teeny tiny little frogs that came out at night when I rode Toni’s bike around the complex. So adorable! Bella Roux is a cutie pie senior pup who’s been trained very well. We got along smashingly. ‘Mi casa y su casa’ is truly Toni’s vibe. I felt very comfortable with her right away. I was delighted to take in all of the fantastic content from Toni’s various streaming channels on the large screen tvs in the house, and on the new lanai with the water view backdrop! Dream sit--spend time in paradise with sweet pup!
I had a wonderful time sitting for sweet Bella Roux in sunny paradise—Florida! When I arrived the day before the sit to get acquainted with my responsibilities, Toni welcomed me warmly to her beautiful home and treated me to dinner. Her property and house are immaculately maintained—so perfect they could have been staged! Everything I could possibly have needed as a guest was provided, and Toni was incredibly generous in the use of her property. Toni’s “fur baby,” Bella Roux, is a senior, medium-sized dog with an extremely loving, calm personality. She likes to be with you, but is not demanding, and every time she sees you her little tail thumps for joy—a real sweetheart. :) Taking care of her was very easy and we settled into a daily routine quickly. Toni not only left detailed written instructions concerning Bella Roux’s care, but was also immediately responsive to any questions I had while I was there. Bella Roux and I spent a lot of quiet time on the back lanai, which overlooks a secluded neighborhood lake, observing the wildlife: deer, racoons, ospreys and hawks. That was truly magical! During my visit, Toni’s neighbors came to mow the lawn and were available and helpful with any questions I had. I felt extremely safe in the neighborhood and area. As for the beach, it is literally only 2 miles straight out from Toni’s door—unbelievable! I enjoyed several morning walks by the ocean and did some shopping in the tourist areas and at Pier Park. All in all, this truly was a “dream sit:” an accommodating and friendly host, an ideal tropical location and a loving, easygoing pet to care for. My highest recommendations for this owner and pet!
