Dream housesit in Spain!

What a wonderful time I had housesitting for Jane! The villa is stunning, nestled in the mountains of Andalusia. I stayed here for three weeks over the winter holidays, and LOVED my experience. The house is very well maintained, clean and inviting. I enjoyed making a fire every night in the fireplace, and curling up with the two sweet cats. Be aware though - Izzy likes to hunt! You'll definitely need a car, as the villa is in the countryside, a 15 minute drive to the nearest small town. I did several day trips, checking out Malaga, Cadiz, Ronda, Estepona, and Marbella. It's a gorgeous part of the world, and I feel so fortunate to have gotten to sit for Jane. She's a fascinating woman, and we spent a couple of days together, cooking meals and going into town. Overall fantastic experience!

Fabulous mountain retreat

I spent a lovely few weeks here in August 2016. The house and location are absolutely stunning, so it's a real privilege to be there. You are surrounded by mountains, so can spend your days staring at the scenery, head off to the white villages nearby or go down to the coast. (As the house is remote, you definitely need a car.) The two cats are very sweet and rewarding to look after - you'll be completely won over and charmed by them. Once they're used to you, they will make regular demands for attention, which is lovely. (Perhaps the occasional 'gift' from the younger one, but not very often.) Jane is brilliant and very welcoming. She will make sure you are properly settled in and looked after. It's a real treat to look after this gorgeous home.
