Cat/House Sitter Needed - Sept 2024

About this assignment

Someone reliable and friendly who’ll give my cat the love she deserves while I’m away. My cat is quite clingy with me so it’s important I have someone who can give her affection while I’m away.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

In charge of feeding and watering my cat, Pixie. You’ll need to pick poop out of the litter trays daily too, using poo-bags, and change the trays once while you’re here. I use litter tray liners so it’s very easy and quick to do. She’s also rather affectionate and playful, so I’d like someone who will pet her and play with her sometimes. She’s a housecat (as she is hard of hearing and never been outside) so it’s *very* important to keep her in and make sure the front door is always closed. If a problem arises while I’m away then you must contact the vet. In the unlikely event you need to take her, then the vet is only a short walk away (5 mins).

What are the good features of the property and location

It’s a modern bungalow with step free access, in Stowmarket, in the heart of Suffolk. Very close to town and shops, including supermarkets. A short walk from the train station which has good connections (Ipswich, London, Bury St Eds, Cambridge, London, Norwich and more). I have put together a list of local recommendations for the area that I can send you. Stowmarket is not a large town, it’s pretty quiet but has everything you need and good access to tourist attractions on the trains or roads if you’re driving.

There is also free parking at the property. I can send you a video tour of the house. It’s a comfortable modern home which has everything you’ll need. There’s one good size bedroom with a double bed, and one comfortable sofa-bed in an open kitchen/living room area. There’s a TV, full fibre wifi, fan, heating, microwave, oven, washer/drier, everything you need!

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I’m looking for someone to house sit for around 2 weeks in September 2024. I don’t have dates set yet but it will probably be the final 2 weeks of September.

Must love animals, as my cat is affectionate and needs love and care. Not just someone to feed and water her but also to give her attention when you’re around. I’ll leave some of her favourite toys in an obvious place for you!

For your information I also have a ring doorbell camera for security so you must be ok with this if you want to housesit here.

I have done couch surfing, WorkAway etc, and have good reviews from there that I am happy to share. I also have an up to date police check I can show you if you like.

Can I bring my own pets?
