About this assignment
We are looking for a responsible and reliable person/couple who will take good care of our two very sweet and friendly cats. No pets please as the cats do not like dogs! We also would expect the person to water plants, look after the house and leave it as they found it. Dates are 26th March to 18th April 2026
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Looking after the two cats.
Taking the cats to the vet in the unlikely event this is needed.
Keeping the house clean.
Mowing the lawn.
Watering the plants.
Maintaining some contact with us for any updates
What are the good features of the property and location
This is a very nice house with high speed wifi located in a village about 7 minutes drive to the nearest small town and 15 minutes from Hereford. for shopping. There is also a local bus service The county is very beautiful and there are many places of interest to visit. It is also not far from the Welsh border so day trips to all the sights and activities in Wales are very straightforward.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
The house sitters must love animals, particularly cats.
Whilst there is a local bus service, having a car is an advantage.
Happy to water some plants in the garden and indoors and to mow the lawn.
Can I bring my own pets?

Linda and I arrived at Lynne and Ronnie's home to a very warm welcome. They immediately made us feel at ease. We were shown round the beautiful home and given all the tips and advice we needed with regard to both caring for the home and the two gorgeous cats. All this was carefully documented. They had decorated for Christmas, which was lovely and the home was absolutely fabulous. We had a wonderful time playing with Max and Socks who were delightful. There are so many places to visit in the area and, very little traffic! I would recommend this as a 'number one' and am eager to return.

Relaxed stay with two lovely cats!
We had the pleasure of looking after Lynne and Ronnie's lovely home and two young cats, Max and Sox! The cats are so loving and love a fuss, it was very easy to lose time with them cuddled up on the sofa with us! Lynne's home is just beautiful and ideal for people that love nature and the peaceful surroundings. Shops are only a short journey away by car or bus. Lynne and Ronnie were so welcoming and provided all the information necessary for the house sit and cat care, we felt at home immediately! I would highly recommend this house sit to any one who loves cats and nature. We hope to return again as we loved every minute!
