Dog Sitter for our sweet old baby

About this assignment

We have a beautiful senior dachshund named Lando that is super lovable, the best snuggler, and our baby. He is very old, 18-19ish years and he just needs someone that is patient, kind and understanding of old age difficulties and the extra attention required.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We are ideally looking for someone to come stay w him to love, comfort and care for him while we are gone out of town. Lando sleeps a lot but needs to be assisted and monitored. He has some cognitive decline and doesn't see very well anymore, also we keep diapers on him while indoors because he is prone to accidents. He has limited mobility do to his age and sometimes needs help getting up after falling (sometimes into his food and/or water bowls). He cannot go up or down stairs and cannot be left unattended upstairs or on patios, or really anywhere he could fall off an edge. He also gets a supplement every evening with his dinner. Occasionally he will be restless at night and need to be taken out or given water.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located right in central Dominical walking distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants and more. We have a gated property with our house, a surf school/shop, four boutique rooms, and a restaurant. Our home also has a beautiful view overlooking the Rio Baru from our spacious patio and the master bedroom.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Mainly we are looking for someone who will love and care for Lando. We would also love to have someone here to open the gates at 6am some mornings and close them at 9pm.
