About this assignment
we often leave our home for one or two weeks, so we need house sitters for short times mostly. It could be good for one or two persons
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
They have to take care to our 3 cats and 11 chicken. The chickens need their care every morning and every evening. And they have to take care to our house and garden, may be that it is neccesary to give the flowers some water.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our smal house is only 800 m away from the baltic sea and 2 km from the Schlei. We have no neighbors only natur around, exept deers or horses.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
It is helpfull if they are able to make fire in the oven, because we have a lot of wood. You must love cats and you must love the nature. Somtimes ist feels a little bit lonely around our house.
Can I bring my own pets?

Regina and I hit it off on our first phone call. Great sit with Fritz, Kara, Mimi and the Chickens & Roosters. I would come back anytime! I took over from friends, because Regina and Juergen had left earlier. They picked me up at the bus station and even gave me a tour around the small town, showing me where the beach and the little grocery store was and then everything I needed to know about the house, wood fired stove and garden. The cats all have their own wonderful personalities and can come and go through the cat door, but of course prefer that you open the terrace door for them when you’re around ;) The house is cozy with a beautiful garden and some nice views of the fields and open sky and a 15 minute walk to the beach. Regina and Juergen came back from Milan the evening before I left, and we had a nice dinner getting to know each other in person and eating some Italian delicacies they had brought back from Milan. They are both open minded and inspiring and it felt like being with old friends. I can highly recommend them as hosts and the cats, chickens and roosters as pet sitting companions. All in all, it was a great experience that I highly recommend. I hope we'll see each other again.
