About this assignment
We're looking for someone that will enjoy living in Sweden for about 2 weeks and would like to take care of our sweet dog Ziggy and our rabbit Nola.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
You will be taking care of our dog, Ziggy. He's a very friendly, loving dog who loves to go on walks, play and cuddle. You'll also have a rabbit that will want to be fed twice a day.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our appartment is fully equipped, very comfortable and in a very nice area of Borlänge (Skräddarbacken). It's a green, foresty and quiet area, but also close to the city, circa 10/15 minutes by bicyle to all the shops. The forest is even closer, so it's possible to make beautiful walks with Ziggy. There's nearby trycks to go skiing (langlauf) and a place for downhill skiing is also closeby. We've got good bus and train connections to visit nearby towns and cities if you're interested.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We would appreciate serious housesitters who are responsible and kind to our animals. Be aware that the days are quite short in December up here and it can get quite cold, there is probably snow, but it's different from year to year. But it's also very cozy to be indoor with the beautiful snow outside. You can borrow some warm clothes from us if you need. We're able to pick you up from the Borlänge trainstation if you decide to come by train (easiest is to fly to Stockholm and then take a two hour train to Borlänge). We are a bit flexible with the dates. Let us know if you have any more questions!

Great Sit!
Femke was a great host. She is very kind and has good communication. Ziggy is an adorable dog, very easy to take care of. The house was very nice and comfortable, with a supermarket within walking distance. The town is tranquil and peaceful. I even managed to spot some northern lights!

Cosy clean house and lovely pets
Femke is a very kind host, who makes everything simple and well-organised to look after her house and pets in the best conditions. I had no problem communicating with her during my stay. Her dog Ziggy is just lovely. He’s well trained and so easy. There are plenty of beautiful roads and trails to walk him from the house. Her 2 rabbits are funny and most easy to take care of. Supermarket is within walking distance and the big town of Skellefteå is less than a 30 min drive away.
