House sitter needed for apartment with 2 cats in Antwerp from 10th of September until 1st of October

About this assignment

I am looking for a house sitter for my two cats Yin and Yang for three weeks. The house sitter should like cats and be able to stay at my place in Antwerp for the three weeks.
Important: No smokers, even not oudoors since the smell gets in your clothes and you bring it inside.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Daily: give food and refresh the two litterboxes, give the cats lots of love
Every few days: the cats have a water fountain that needs to be changed every three days or so.
I also have some plants that need to be watered.
And just general care for the apartment.

What are the good features of the property and location

I live in a two bedroom apartment in Borgerhout, Antwerp. The apartment is ideal for one person or a couple (only 1 bed), I have a completely equipped kitchen with dishwasher, bathroom with shower and bath, laundry room with washing machine and dryer, a small terrace, wifi, tv with chromecast,..

The Antwerp central train station is about 25min walking but I can provide you with a card to use the city bikes.
Borgerhout is a vibrant neighbourhood with bars, restaurants, a lot of parks, a mix of young families, singles, older people and also many cultures.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

My boyfriend, who lives accross the Antwerp central station, can help you when there is something you need. Or if you want to leave for more than a day, he can take care of the cats :). So it's possible to take a little trip while you are here too, if you want. In that case however, I would ask you not to go away for longer than 4 days in a row.

Yin and Yang are sister and brother and are 6 years old. Yang especially needs some time to warm up to you but after a few days he will be constantly asking for pets and cuddles. Yin is more social but only wants to be touched on her terms. They don't have the tendency to do a lot of mischief but of course, as cats are, that can happen (sleep on the table, walk on the kitchen island,.. things like that). Overall they are very good cats that love to be around you. They are not very cuddly with each other but they accept each other's presence, most of the time. It can happen that they have a little fight so then it's important you keep an eye out so it doesn't escalate.
