Dog-house sit - coastal countryside, Noto, Sicily

About this assignment

I'm looking for a responsible, warm hearted person, or couple, who love dogs and enjoy the tranquility of living in the countryside. Ideal for those who work remotely (wi-fi present). Must be EU citizens/residents with their own car.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

To take good care for my three beautiful dogs, taking them on walks in the surrounding countryside daily and to the groomer and/or vet if needed (I am billed directly). I order dog kibbles and monthly anti parasite treatment online that are to be collected in Noto. The dogs wear gps devises for their own safety so they must be charged regularly.

What are the good features of the property and location

The best feature of the property is the sense of tranquility it offers, the abundance of fruit trees on it and the close proximity to Vendicari Natural Reserve.

The house is a simple country home that opens up onto a covered veranda facing onto half an acre of olive and mediterranean fruit trees that supplies us with seasonal fruit all year round. In Autumn there is an abundance of pomegranates, persimmons, quinces, pears and grapes and during winter navel oranges, mandarines, clementines, grapefruit and lemons from which one can make marmalades and preserves.

There is a large bedroom with comfortable bed, a spacious open-plan living-dining area with a couch and large marble dining table, a small kitchen, bathroom with shower and a cast iron wood stove in the living room that warms the house well.

The house is 15 min. from Noto in the Province of Siracusa, Sicily famous for the variety of high quality food and wine it produces.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The well being of the Zeus, Porzia and Bianca are my priority so I will most likely consider those who have had their own dogs or who have previously dog sat.

Can I bring my own pets?
