Someone who likes cats and take care of this house as if it was theirs and someone who is looking for a quiet place. It's an easy place to live in. We will remove most of our baby toys so you will fee more home too.
Take care of my 2 cats (change water, pet them and give them wet food every day), leave the house clean.
If you like gardening you're free to go there are 2 small gardens to look after (but no worries we don't expect anything if you don't like it).
We have only one little plant to water once a week in the kitchen (outside, the weather knows how to manage it by itself!)
We have the train at 10 min by foot leading to Connolly (center of Dublin) in 20 min and a bus stop at 2 min (going directly to a shopping center - 13 min - and to the center of Dublin - 45 min). The house is nice, lots of board games, video projector etc so I think it's really a nice place to stay. There is a stove, feel free to use it, we have wood in the shed.
You will have your own room and bathroom so even if you come a little early or leave a little late you will keep your privacy.
you will have access to 2 bikes as it's a lovely place to cycle
We are in a quiet and safe neighborhood. So partying in the room has to be done in respect of the neighbours. No big parties are allowed but feel free to invite few friends for dinner or board games nights!
If you want to go to a night club be aware that you have to go to the city center and come back in cab as the last bus is around midnight (around 30 euros for the cab). If you like to hike, couple of hikes are accessible via train which is super handy. The wiklows are a bit harder to go to without a car, but there are car to rent for the day close to home (we can discuss this point if you are interested in)
Train and bus are at 2 euros for 90 minutes of use.
There are some supermarkets/butcher/small restaurants at 7 to 10 minutes by foot but if you want a big supermarket you have to take the bus (10 min) or our bikes (7 min).
No, sorry.

Christmas Hideaway
We found Pauline and Thibault very welcoming and easy going. We stayed in their lovely modern four bed semi detached home, in a quiet suburbs of Dublin. There was ample parking at the front driveway and a lovely garden at the back. It was easy to get around as there were plenty of buses and we were quite near the train station. Loki and Miko, the two cats, were a pleasure to look after. It is amazing that they could hide themselves in the house so well and at meal times instantly appear. It was our second time sitting for Pauline and Thibault and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We would highly recommend the housesit to anyone and we would be happy to return to housesit again ourselves.

Beautiful Maiko and Loki near Dublin
We really enjoyed this Irish sit. A lovely young family who made us very welcome and were very hospitable, we enjoyed a meal at the local restaurant the evening before they left. Which gave us a nice opportunity to get to know them. It was a pleasure to stay in the suburbs, lots of walks along the canal, parks and plenty of green spaces. Pauline left us leap cards, so we were able to reach Dublin and the coast by train. We also took advantage of driving to the Wicklow mountains and were delighted to have been able to see the beautiful landscapes. The cats were a little timid to begin with but soon warmed to us our biggest task was telling them apart!they were like two peas in a pod! But we managed to recognise their ways and where they enjoyed to hide around the house, they were good at opening cupboards doors with very handy 🐾 paws. Our communication with Pauline was excellent she was quick to respond to our questions and any concerns.Thank you for a lovely time.

Great location, great people, great pets
First, we would like to give a big THANK YOU to Pauline and Thibault for such a great experience in Ireland. Your kindness and hospitality made our first home stay very enjoyable! Their home is in the western part of Dublin, Ireland in a very quiet and family-oriented neighborhood. The home is 2-story and well equipped with a great kitchen layout (including a dishwasher & clothes washing machine), exercise equipment in the lounge room, and a comfy couch and dining area in the living room. Downstairs has a half-bathroom and the upstairs main has a shower with tub. There is a private backyard zen garden as well, great for catching some sun or enjoying a coffee. The home is steps from the #37 bus line, and that made getting to/from the city very easy. (Train/rail station is also nearby.) Our hosts had 2 "Leap Cards" available for us, and that GREATLY reduced our travel costs when using the bus, train, and trams...and it's accepted on all public travel in Ireland. (Videos online on how it works) They were also kind enough to let us use their 2 bicycles which made for relaxing rides and trips to the major shopping centers and major supermarkets. (2 minor grocery marts, a fruit/veg store, and butcher are easily within walking distance and they are very well equipped with great prices.) The produce, meats, seafood, eggs and dairy in Ireland are excellent, so we spent most of our mealtime making food at home and this greatly kept our expenses down. We loved having the 2 cats (Maiko & Loki) at home. They are so sweet and entertaining. They would talk with us and loved hanging around when we were cooking, eating, or watching movies on the couch. Although they are not "lap cats", they love to be close and have relaxing petting. Their food schedule is easy to maintain with their automatic dry food bowls, water fountain, and special wet food dinners. Litter box duty is also "nice" because they are using a compostable cat litter which I found to be less "dusty" than traditional cat litter. Our hosts were always quick to reply if we had any questions or needs. Pauline made a great "instruction book" explaining the trash collection schedule, local spots to check out, etc. We were fortunate to meet them before they left for their trip, so we had many of our questions answered in person. We were even granted an extra night to stay so we could take the cheapest flight available when we departed. Very kind! This was our first home stay, and it could not have been any more easy and fun. There are so many things to explore in Dublin, so you will certainly have plenty to do, see, eat, and drink. The city (and the whole country!) has such a rich history, so be sure to do your homework and get suggestions. (Pauline has already included some in her instruction book.) NOTE: Be ready for Ireland's weather. We were here in July/August and it was considerably colder than I expected. It can also be quite windy and can rain (at some point) almost daily. Rememeber, there's no bad weather...only bad clothes. Do your research, be prepared, and you will be all set! We highly recommend this home stay and hope we can assist here again in the future. So many more things to see!

Nice home owners and cats
Pauline and Thibault were so kind and let me come and stay 2 nights earlier. They were always able to answer my questions. The cats are adorable. The house was very clean and tidy. They let me borrow their bike as well and the area has quite a few cycle lanes.
