About this assignment

We are looking for someone who is animal friendly and knows their way around a vegetable garden in terms of watering and picking anything that is ripe.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We need someone who can take care of our three cats and one dog, who will also need walking, feed our five chickens and water our large vegetable garden.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are quite isolated, but there is a train station within 500m with trains into Lisbon and up to Tomar. There is a river beach and bars a short drive away, the local town, Cartaxo, is 5km away and Santarém is a 25min drive away. Cartaxo has plenty of supermarkets, bars and restaurants. It is a quiet and peaceful location, we only have one neighbour.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

A car is necessary as we will be taking ours with us. The vegetable garden is quite large and needs thoroughly watering every two or so days, depending on how hot/windy it is.

Can I bring my own pets?
