About this assignment
Hi, I'm from the UK originally but teach here in Bangkok.
Ocean and Turbo are super affectionate and friendly.
I'm planning on travelling during the end of term break and I'm looking for someone who wants to explore Bangkok, in a nice Thai area, who will also take great care of my cats, fish, plants and house.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feeding 2 male cats (will be almost 4 years old),
Taking cats to vets if needed and administering medication if required.
Dealing with cat litter (but they mostly go outside).
Refilling water bowls
Watering plants in the garden most days
Feeding a few fish in garden (to keep the mosquitos away!)
What are the good features of the property and location
Light and comfortable 2 bed house. (It is a 3 bed house but I keep my room locked. That leaves a double and a single room still for your use).
Lots of space.
Large table for dining or working in sitting room and the study.
Treadmill
2 bathrooms (1 with hot water)
15 min walk to Punnawithi BTS or 20 bhat on motorbike taxi
Quiet street
A great local food market and and local eateries near by.
2 good sports bars but mainly small thai places nearby. It is about 15 mins on bts to more popular spots such as Asok.
Free 5g WiFi
Aircon and fans in each room
Lock box on gate for keys with code
Nice public swimming pool (outside) a 20 minute walk
Beautiful temple and meditation center just behind the house
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
I live in a Thai house in a local community, a bit out of the "main city". (About 6 stops on the sky train to a more central area). The house is wonderful, but things can go wrong with a house in tropical countries at times The landlady is in Bangkok and I will always be on hand to help via WhatsApp also if any issues. However, December is a great time of year with little rain so I would not anticipate any issues.

A peaceful time with the Boyz
Leah's place in Bangkok, and her two boys, Ocean and Turbo, were a real delight. The boyz were super easy to care for, and Ocean especially was a lovebug; always meowing for attention, snuggles, a neck or belly scratch, food, etc. Hahaha, he is the most vocal cat I have ever pet-sat, but it wasn't annoying, it was funny! Turbo would also come to me when he felt like it, so overall they were very loving cats, and even when I got sick for 2 days, they snuggled in bed next to me which touched my heart :) Leah provided all the necessary info about the responsibilities for the house and her babies before her departure and she showed me everything in detail, which I appreciate. Her home was very clean and comfortable and the cleaning woman, whom I met and spoke with, was lovely as well. She had some fish and plants which were super easy to care for and her home was very comfortable to rest and work online. Also, Leah was very very kind to let me come one day earlier which saved me getting a hotel; thank you again Leah! Her street is very peaceful which is appreciated being in busy, loud Bangkok, and just 5mins away you can find lots of food options (an outdoor market plus a mall 20mins away). I met some of her neighbors while exercising on the street, and overall the neighborhood had a very peaceful and friendly vibe. Thanks again Leah for this opportunity of seeing more of Bangkok and entrusting me with your home & boyz for one week. :)

Fabulous Cat Sit in Bangkok
Cat sitting for Leah was a pleasure. Generally, Leah's clear instructions and helpful local knowledge made everything easy and smooth. I fell in love with her cat's Ocean and Turbo who are playful, affectionate and loaded with personality. Turbo and Ocean in Bangkok
We did a MindMyHouse sit for Leah and her two adorable ginger cats Turbo and Ocean in Bangkok, in a lovely neighbourhood, thirty minutes outside the center of Bangkok with a cool Skytrain transport nearby. Leah is wonderful, relaxed and very well organised and helpful. Her cats are raised extremely well, and Leah is so very fond of them. We loved to take care of her “children” when she was away. To all future sitters, please give the cats as much love as you can, they are so thankful for that. The house is special, has luxury rooms, with a front garden instead of a car park, really nice to relax in. We thank Leah for her trust in us and that we had the opportunity to have such a lovely stay with both of her cats (really amazing ones) and her house and garden. We also liked the 'guard' of the neighborhood, who takes care of her street and always was very friendly to us. Leah gave us a lovely smelling present for our Christmas celebration in her house, so friendly. Thank you Leah, for this wonderful experience. I am so grateful I got the chance to stay in Leahs home and look after her cats and ever increasing fish. The location was a perfect mix of small local authenticity and bright lights, big city. While the pace of Bangkok is nonstop, Leah has created a home that is a relaxed and comfortable escape. Though various problems arose with the structural integrity of the house and access to water, they were manageable enough and are only natural given the country and six week stay. The cats are adorable and energetic and found themselves in some sticky situations, but conveniently the house has an english-speaking vet clinic at the end of the street. I enjoyed Bangkok thoroughly and look forward to when I can return!

Loved those cats!
Great sit with 2 adorable young cats in a lovely, spacious home. Beforehand, I was given detailed instructions and information about the housesit, and the area's amenities. Check-ins were easy with Whats App, and Leah was quick to respond. Location is good; shops, street vendors and public transport are all within a 5-20min walk. I miss those 2 cats so would love to come back in the future! MA-Mary Ann

Ocean & Turbo
This sit was an absolute pleasure. Ocean and Turbo are really great cats. They're really fun to be around and very well behaved. We were lucky to have had the opportunity to care for them at this time (Christmas '23 just over 1 year old) as they're in really great shape and very playful! The house is neat, tidy and quite spacious. The road is a cul d'sac so there's not a great deal of traffic and it's nice and peaceful. It's a short walk to the local shops and only a little further to the BTS. Lea was very organised and welcoming and all of the arrangements went very smoothly. I did a few odd jobs about the house, Gun did a fair bit of cleaning, the cats got new toys & turkey for Christmas and fortunately for us the fish had babies while we were there! So everything went well, everyone was happy and Lea wrote us a very lovely review! Would recommend!
