Bibi is 15 years old and very laid back. She has arthritis and isn't very active nowadays, but likes to be scratched around the ears and occasional brushing. Rocca is 6 years old and was rescued from the street. She is nervous of strangers and will probab
Perfect for a couple or single person, with a car, who enjoys the countryside and beautiful nature, and historic towns. This house-sit would suit a cat lover with a quiet, calm temperament as one of the cats is nervous of strangers.
I have two cats, Bibi and Rocca, both spayed females, who will need feeding twice a day. They have access to outside but also have litter/sand trays which need cleaning out daily. They have a cat-flap but prefer Butler Service if available! You will also need to be able to comfortably lift 15kg bags of pellets for the hot water boiler and water the plants if it is dry. Mainly I hope you will enjoy the scenery and countryside of this beautiful area.
Originally the village school, the house has been extensively modernised with a new kitchen, central heating, two bathrooms (one downstairs). It is warm in winter, cool in summer and well-insulated. The kitchen/dining leads directly onto a pretty balcony with stunning views and steps leading down to a well kept garden and terrace, perfect for a sundowner!
The house has three bedrooms, one of which is used as an office. For a single person, the bedroom has a standard double bed (135cm), and for a couple, you will have use of a king-size bed (160cm).
The house is located in a tiny village (15 people) about 15/20 minutes from Ainsa, which is considered one of the prettiest villages in Spain. For the outdoor/fresh-air lover, there are amazing places to visit, including the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido about 75 minutes drive. In the photos, you can see a beautiful autumn scene from the Park. The Pyrenees are one of the few areas of Spain with mixed deciduous woodland and the autumn colours are stunning. It is a fabulous area for hiking, mountain or road biking and enjoying traditional Spanish meals.
English speaking neighbours are on hand if needed.
You will need to be comfortable in a small, quiet village (there is a good amount of street lighting) and it is essential that you have transport.
The ability to speak some Spanish is an advantage in this area, but you can manage without.
You need to be able to lift 15kg bags of pellets for the boiler and light the wood-burner for evening warmth (this is recommended in addition to the central heating).
The house has a number of steps to the front and back door, and stairs to the bedrooms. The downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower, upstairs is over the bath.
You will need to go to the basement, and there are low ceilings/doorways so care is required.
A quiet manner and patience with a timid cat are essential.
No, sorry.

Amazing cat sitting
I had such a lovely cat sitting experience at Mary-Jane's and her husband Matt and their two cats Bibi and Rocca. Mary-Jane and Matt were extremely welcoming and helpful when I arrived showing and explaining everything. Matt prepared us delicious dinner and they really made me feel like home. Both cats are so sweet. Bibi is very chill - I don't think I ever walked pass her without giving her some head rubs and she patiently let me. Rocca is more shy, but she has the cutest face when she is observing from the distance. The house is beautiful and the views are amazing. Everything is very tidy and they have a very nice garden which I enjoyed watering. Bibi and I would just sit there on the terrace, relax and keep each other company. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely experience
I really enjoyed my stay. The cats are lovely. One, admittedly was a bit shy at first. The house was so lovely, clean and comfortable, everything a house-and-cat-sitter would enjoy. The walks were lovely; it is remote, but the neighbors are nice. Thank you!!
