Murphy is a sweetheart and easy keeper. He's a bit skiddish at first but really loves to play. He lost his brother a little while ago, so he's especially in need of some TLC and attention.

About this assignment
I am looking for somebody reliable and mellow (one person only, please) who really likes cats and is willing to give my buddy Murphy the love and care he needs, while enjoying my very cozy apartment and Hamburg this Christmas.
Please don't smoke in my apartment, thanks!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feeding Murphy 3- 4 times a day, loving on him and playing with him. Scooping the litter box daily, watering my plants if necessary and enjoying the apartment.
What are the good features of the property and location
The appartment is nicely decorated and quiet, there's a small shower/bathroom, no bath tub, the kitchen is well equipped. The kitchen gets really nice afternoon light (at least in summer), the bedroom and living room are bright in the mornings.
My apartment is super cozy and extremely livable, and located in a friendly, urban but not too trendy neighborhood East of the inner city lake, the Alster. My neighbors are relaxed, there are supermarkets and restaurants around, and bus and metro connections are plentiful.
Hamburg has a HUGE harbor that Hamburgers are really proud of.
There loads of bars/restaurant everywhere and especially right by the river Elbe where you can sit and watch big container boats go by. There's also a really lively art and museum scene, a progressive theater just down the street featuring international ensembles,
Depending on what your jive is, I can recommend restaurants, natural sights to visit in the outskirts, there's the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, Lübeck (world reknowned for its Marzipan) is a fairly short train ride away, places to ride a bike, nice hiking paths, loads of cultural happenings ...
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Murphy is a very sweet cat, but very careful when it comes to contact with (new to him) humans.
He will find your hand to be petted and loves being played with, spoken to and getting his head scratched, and is great company. Not a super cuddle bug, but loving nonetheless.
Also: I realize this is a short sit, if it suits you better, you're welcome to arrive on the 22nd. I have a guest couch in the living room and could show you everything before I leave. Would be glad to cook a pescetarian or vegetarian meal in the evening. :)

Fantastic Sit with a Friendly Host and a Seriously Charming Cat
My stay at Imke’s flat in Hamburg was an absolute pleasure. Imke is wonderfully friendly, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with, and she made everything feel simple and welcoming right from the start. Murphy is a unique little character with a big personality and the kind of charm that grows on you quickly. He’s affectionate, expressive, and honestly one of the most handsome cats I’ve met. The Pierogi place right outside the door has delicious home-cooked food, and the supermarket is a 2-minute walk away. Hamburg itself turned out to be one of the cleanest and most attractive cities I’ve visited. Calm, scenic, and full of great spots to explore. All in all, a wonderful experience with a lovely host and a very special cat.

Wonderful house sit in Hamburg
Imke was friendly and welcoming. It was a joy to look after Murphy who is a lovely companion. The apartment is well-located for exploring Hamburg. I'd recommend this house sit to any future sitters! :)

Great host, cool cat and his loving brother
I've already petsat for Imke through another website and recommended MMH to her. So, here's my review of those past petsits with Kasper and Murphy. Imke is a wonderful person and great host. Before the first sit, we met for breakfast, and she made sure I had everything I needed, including detailed information and instructions. The apartment is centrally located, so you can visit Hamburg's sights while keeping the feeding schedule. Kasper is a "cool cat," and very generous with welcoming you as a sitter. And even though he's younger, Murphy is his big brother, and he let me team up with him in looking after Kasper. He's also very generous and loves to play with the fishing rod and sit by the open window. I've sat for Imke twice already and will be back there in June. I'm very much looking forward to my next stay and can highly recommend Imke, Kasper, and Murphy.
