House/pet sitter needed for 2 weeks in Ireland

About this assignment

Looking for a doting house sitter to care for an affectionate old cat and boisterous 2 year old mix breed.

Luna is a 17 year old long hair domestic cat. Though she is the size of a kitten. She loves cuddles and pets. And will come find you and sit on you when you are already siting in not the most comfortable position, so you have to stay where you are until she decides she's ready to move. She can no longer jump, but will pull herself up on the couch and bed, she will not say no to you helping her get up.

Bó is a velcro dog, who wants nothing more than to be with you at all times when you are home, following you around until you sit on the couch or bed so he can curl up next to you. He loves to go for walks and adventures, and will do almost anything for a treat. Lobes to play tug with his teddy's.

I'm looking for someone/a family, that will take care of both of them and the house like is their own.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding Luna when she lets you know she has no food, we usually only give a handful at a time to make sure Bó doesn't eat it all. Making sure she has fresh water at all times. There are multiple bowls around the house. Making sure Luna's litter box isn't too full. It will be freshly cleaned before we leave.

Feeding Bó in the morning and evening. Taking Bó for a daily walk, if you're going for a day out hiking, he would gladly come with you. Making sure if you aren't taking him out, he is left in the utility/kitchen with his bed and a teddy. Making sure to clean up after him while out on walks, and not letting the back garden get too full.

Keeping the house tidy, especially the kitchen when you leave the house, as Bó hasn't quite learned not to take things from the counter when we aren't here.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a 3 bedroom bungalow, and are only a 20 minute walk to the town centre. And there are 2 shops within a ten minute walk if you just need milk/bread. We live on a very quiet road, with friendly neighbours. We are only a 30/45 minute drive from the sea, and right near the motorway for easy access to other parts of the country.

As this is a family home we have everything you need for your stay. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, stove.

We are non smokers so there is no smoking allowed in the house.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This is a family home, not a show home, there are somethings that could do with work, and we're working on getting them done, but it is taking longer than we would like. Please don't judge us.
