House and dog sit close to mountains Los Angeles area

About this assignment

We are looking for a responsible, relatively quiet individual or couple to look after our house and dog May 25-June 13, 2024. Ideally we would like a police check and references/testimonials.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Looking after our dog, keeping the house and garden tidy, taking the trash out, bringing in packages and mail, and occasional garden watering duties, as well as keeping in touch with us to let us know the dog is ok.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located in Sierra Madre, a small and beautiful foothill community with shops and restaurants just a few minutes walk away, good transport links into Downtown Los Angeles, and excellent hiking. Our house has mountain views, a great kitchen, covered back deck, and all modern amenities, including air conditioning and a beautiful pool and spa.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our dog needs two walks a day but can be left on her own during the daytime if needs be. She is also getting on a bit - she will happily travel in a car but may need help getting in and out!
