Summer house sitter needed..

About this assignment

Looking for a mature house sitter who is comfortable with a place in the country for 6 weeks in the summer of 2025. Dates are very flexible since I'm on vacation for the entire summer. Looking for someone who does not charge a fee for housesitting.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Lawn care (approx. 2-3 hrs week) and dog sitting. I have a 12 year old Shepard/Husky mix who is very friendly and very easy to look after and an 8b year old cat who is also very easy to look after. These are the two main responsibilities.

What are the good features of the property and location

Country location, lots of privacy with no close neighbours, there is large fenced property (3 acres, 1 acre of which is fenced). There is lake access (Lake St. Francis, St Lawrence River) and a hot tub. 3 bedrooms. Central air (Geothermal). Pet friendly. Close to Cornwall, Montreal and Ottawa.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This is a country house and requires a sitter who has some experience with the realities of caring for an older house in the country. The house is in excellent condition, but issues do arise. I have a very good neighbours and they are always available to help with any issues. Looking for someone who does not charge a fee for housesitting.
