Summer house sitter needed..

About this assignment

Looking for a mature house sitter who is comfortable with a place in the country for 3-4 weeks in the summer of 2026. Dates are very flexible since I'm now retired. I put in July just b/c I needed to add dates, but I am more flexible. Basically I'm looking to get away on a motorcycle trip and I am looking for someone, or a couple, to stay here while I'm gone. When and for how long is very flexible, but I'm looking to get away for 3-4 weeks. Looking for someone who does not charge a fee for housesitting and I will provide my place without fees.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Lawn care (approx. 2-3 hrs week) and dog and cat sitting. I have a 13 year old Shepard/Husky mix who is very friendly and very easy to look after and an 9 year old cat who is also very easy to look after. These are the two main responsibilities.

What are the good features of the property and location

Country location, lots of privacy, there is large fenced property (3 acres, 1 acre of which is fenced). There is lake access (Lake St. Francis, St Lawrence River), a hot tub and a complete home gym. 3 bedrooms. Central air (Geothermal). Close to Cornwall, Montreal and Ottawa and the Adirondack Park in NY State.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This is a country location. I have excellent neighbours and they are always available to help with any questions/issues. Looking for someone who does not charge a fee for housesitting. You will need a vehicle.
