House and kitty sitter needed for mid-September 2025

About this assignment

I will be traveling and my house and cats require care and someone to be here, ensuring my home has that lived-in look in my absence.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed three indoor kitties and scoop their litter box. Place food outside for the cats living in my woods/around my house. Bring in mail and newspapers.

What are the good features of the property and location

Located in 1 acre of woods 20 min. from Washington, D.C., 30 minutes from Annapolis, 12 min. from Joint Base Andrews, 45 min. to BWI/25 min. to DCA.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

My older smoke-free house is 90% renovated, and is clean and comfortable. This isn't a party house or house for small children - many family antiques and precious items (at least to me). There is a Metro station 1/2 mile away at the end of my road and an Amtrak station 20 min. away. With the cats and the limitations of public transportation, I am willing to pay for a rental car for the sitter during my absence.

Can I bring my own pets?
