Nearby art studio for use and woodshop and clay studio. Dark skies. Temperatures can be extreme, monsoons can bring flooding.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Basic care and maintenance of private, charming 2 bedroom 1 bath house. Depending on summer rains, desert landscaped yard will need watering. My animals are healthy. I have a male and female cat, Archie and Elinore and a Shiba Inu about 7. All are friendly. Cats fed 2x/day, Kitty litter. Dog fed nightly, walks am/pm.

What are the good features of the property and location

Located in an old mining town near the Mexican Border. This is a tri-national community. I am an artist specializing in fiber arts. I have a nearby studio which would be available. Very quiet in the summer. Arts community. Parks surround the town including Organ Pipe National Monument. Lots of hiking.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It is hot in the summer. House is well air-conditioned. Must be comfortable with the wildness and wildlife of the desert including coyotes, snakes and insects. Nights are beautiful, temperatures comfortable. Days I spend indoors. Cities are roughly 1.5 to 2 hours away. Mexican border is 30 minutes away. Ocean is about 3 hours.
