Alfons Maine Coon
A person or couple that respect that it is our home and feel responsibility in keeping things nice and tidy. You love nature and staying on the countryside.
We have a lovely Maine Coon cat, Alfons, about 2 years old, he might be home or he could also be in a cat hotel nearby. We like you to take care of the garden and the tomatoes. Cut the lawn once per week. Non smoker, limited alcohol and no drugs.
House beautiful located, near the lake Åsnen and national park. Relaxed athmosphere in a small village. Food store 12 km away. You need to have a car.
We plan to have vacation between 18/6 and approx to 26/6, maybe a bit longer. Days to be agreed between us when we have the right matching.
We appreciate references from a previous house sitting occasion and it is a must that you are familiar to growing vegetables.
No, sorry.

What a great experience!
We were so blessed to have a wonderful stay in Sweden at Marjo + Atte's garden home in the Swedish countryside. We had a 1 week stay, mid-summer, and the weather was quite agreeable. The garden was producing many tomatoes, lettuce, garlic, berries, squash, beets...everyday was a rainbow of fresh produce. Anything additional we needed from grocery was reasonably close by as well. We arrived 1 day early to get a full walk through of the operational requirements of the garden and the expectations of the homeowners. Marjo left a very detailed instruction book in case there was anything not covered in our demonstration. The house was perfect for us and had plenty of living space for relaxing inside, as well as lovely outdoor deck for eating or sitting. The location was in the farm lands of Sweden, and it was very peaceful and relaxing. The work required in the garden was simple and very pleasant. Making daily meals in the kitchen was a delight as well. I don't know when I've had such delicious options. Unfortunately, Alfonso the cat was not feeling well, so the family put him in a boarding home for his own well-being. He was not part of our stay, but we did have the opportunity to meet him on our first day there and he is super sweet. Nearby the home is the IKEA world headquarters and original location, corporate offices, design studios and museum. We took the opportunity to visit the museum one afternoon (we are big fans) and it was a great learning experience into the history of the company. I highly recommend doing that one day of your stay. We certainly welcome the opportunity to stay here again. We truly loved it. And if anyone has the ability to assist this amazing family with caretaking of their lovely home and elaborate garden, I would strongly encourage you to do so! You will connect with nature and the land as you unplug from the busy world. (but yes, there is TV and very fast WiFi on the property of course!) Thank you for letting us become part of your extended family, and I hope we are friends for life. :)

Relaxation in Schwedish Paradise
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in Marjo and Atte's lovely property in a clearing in the forest. The nearest neighbours were the deer, one of whom I almost bumped into on a walk in the woods! There were no animals to mind, just a large organic vegetable patch, which was so well organised with a watering system, that our work there was minimal. Marjo is an excellent communicator, and we were left clear instructions as well as many brochures of attractions in the region. We were made to feel very welcome and felt totally at home in their lovely house, and the beautiful, sunny terrace! We also enjoyed exploring the shores of Asnan lake by bike (which can be hired in Torne) and on foot. There are lovely walks in the Asnan National Park close by. Unfortunately we did not see a moose in the wild, however there are plenty of moose parks in the region. We did however have the privilege of seeing the Osprey, thanks to a friend of Marjo & Atte's. We highly recommend this house-sit and wouldn't hesitate to do it again if we had the chance.
