About this assignment

Since our pets are full members of the family, we are looking for respectful, trustworthy guests who genuinely love animals and will care for them with the same dedication we do. Mutual respect is fundamental to us. I am raising my son to respect our home every day, and we expect our guests to have the same high sense of respect for our space. We ask you to follow a few simple but strict rules, like keep the house clean, no shoes inside the house etc. To ensure our pets' peace of mind, our home is strictly suitable for single women or couples without children (Milo wants cares just from women caregivers)

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Just love Milo&Mila, take care of them, and update me as often as possible:-) In particular Mila (The Cat): She is a former street cat, now a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle on the sofa with you in the evening. However, she loves to play rough. She dislikes having her claws trimmed, so an occasional scratch might happen during playtime. True cat lovers will totally understand her playful nature! Milo (The Chinchilla): He is a very delicate, nocturnal little boy. He is sweet and does not bite at all (if he gets scared, he just hides in his corner). You must feel completely comfortable putting your hand inside his cage daily for quick tasks like feeding, cleaning, and always making sure the cage door is securely closed.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our apartment is located in one of the most vibrant areas of Rome, called Piramid, just a stone's throw from Testaccio—the center of Roman nightlife. 10 minutes by walking u will arrive to Circo Massimo, Fori Imperiali (the ancient Rome), and in 15 minutes Colosseum. Right outside the door, you will find supermarkets, cafes, bars, and an incredible variety of restaurants (including the best traditional Roman pizzerias, Greek, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine).Unbeatable Public Transport (No Car Needed!)Metro Station: Just a 3-minute walk away, connecting you easily to all lines and major attractions.Bus Hub: Countless bus lines stop right by the house.Train Station: Also just 3 minutes away on foot, perfect for day trips straight to the beach in Ostia.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We believe in total honesty, so we want to gently share that we have very recently moved into this apartment, and the renovation work is not fully completed yet. Because of this, please keep in mind these specific details before booking:
- No Air Conditioning Yet: Due to our recent move, the AC has not been installed yet. Fortunately, the apartment is very well insulated and keeps a well-balanced, neutral temperature if you keep the shutters closed and shaded during the sunniest hours. It doesn’t get excessively hot, but it cannot get ice-cold either. If you are looking for an extremely chilly AC environment, this might be a bit difficult.
-Sleeping Arrangements: The master bedroom is not ready yet. Therefore, your options for sleeping are:The large sofa bed in the living room, which is extremely easy to open with just one single movement (and close back up in the morning).or a cozy futon placed on the big, comfortable rug inside Manuel bedroom.
-The Railway & View: The apartment is incredibly bright because there are no buildings facing us directly—the surrounding buildings are far away. However, the railway runs right in front of us. If you stay here, you should appreciate a bit of that unique "industrial charm" of the clattering trains. Thanks to our high-quality double-glazed windows, there is absolutely no noise inside when they are closed. Because of the trains, keeping the windows wide open during the day is not really practical, but life inside the apartment is still very comfortable and pleasant!
Apart from these details, everything else in the apartment is perfectly fine, bright, and functional!
Dates & Availability (August Flexibility)Our exact dates for August are not completely fixed yet and are currently approximate. I am actively looking to do a house exchange or house-sitting in another location, so I am waiting for my own confirmations. My plan is to travel for about 10 to 15 days in August. If you are flexible and interested, please reach out so we can discuss and coordinate the perfect dates together!

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
