Dependable, reliable, trustworthy house sitter/s. Cat lover or at least an affinity with cats. Someone who will treat our home with respect as if it was their own. We have been House-sitters internationally for many years and understand what is involved.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Looking after our cat and house are the primary responsibilities. Feeding the cat, as per provided instructions and cleaning her bowls. Keeping the house neat and tidy and clean.

What are the good features of the property and location

Located in one of Auckland's oldest suburbs, Onehunga. with plenty to do, but quiet at the same time. Easy nearby access to trains and buses. Plenty of cafes, pubs and close to Dress Mart Mall and Onehunga Mall. Supermarkets etc. nearby. 10 minute walk to One Tree Hill/Cornwall Park domain. Similar walk to Onehunga waterfront. Auckland International Airport 20-30 minutes (depending on traffic). Downtown Auckland 35 bus or train depending on traffic etc. Off road parking for small-medium sized vehicles. Plenty of off-street parking near our house.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

June/July is winter in Auckland. Daytime temperatures normally low/mid-teens. Weather: anything from brilliant sunshine to rain. Plenty of options such as walks. cafes, movies, entertainment are easily accessible from Onehunga. Excellent shopping options within short easy walking distance
